We are able to insulate your home whether it is brick, weatherboard or clad walls. We can insulate your ceiling be they, flat, cathedral or standard and we use only purpose made floor insulation’s that will not mold, mildew or in any other way be adversely affected by atmospheric moisture or overhead spills.

History

Established in 2010.

Retro — Spec Insulation became our official business trading name in 2010. Prior to that the company started trading as K. & M.G. Bauer Insulation in 2006, acting as sole Tasmanian agents for ESNI Insulation a Queensland based insulation manufacturing and installing business. After the demise of the Federal Government Home Insulation Scheme a decision had to be made whether to continue in insulation or close up.

The decision was taken to stay in home insulation, provide services for the aftermarket homes, or retro fitting for homes and to diversify into other areas other than just ceiling insulation which had been the main thrust of our business up till that time.

Products for wall and floor insulation were studied and sourced from Britain, Europe and the USA, eventually leading to Retro — Spec Insulation being able to provide premium and proven insulation products for every area of homes.

Business Owner

Kev Bauer is the owner and principle operator of Retro — Spec Insulation. Kev continues to handle Sales and Installation of all jobs. Whilst this is at times demanding it ensures that the person that you deal with and entrust your home insulation needs to is the same person you will be dealing with when the work is undertaken. This is very reassuring to many home owners who are assured that their personal requirements and concerns will be addressed and understood.

Kev is ably assisted by two friendly and well presented assistants, Dave and Leighton who are both trained and experienced in all aspects of home insulation.
