So delicious and filling all around. Have been here in past years for family lunches & celebrations. Always efficient very friendly service, atmosphere pleasant, feels like a little Italy. Last Friday this restaurant was featured on Sunrise ch7 as part of the weather report, with kids from CoAsIt school next door. Well deserved recognition! Am about to have cuppacino with my lunch group, but am so stuffed I wont eat for remainder of day!

We ordered our food and got our appetizer promptly, but more than an hour later we were still waiting for our entrees. We clearly weren’t the only ones in the restaurant, which was only 1⁄3rd full, who had to wait that long. After the wait, the food was meh. When the bill arrived, another mistake — they were attempting to charge us $ 444 for two entries and garlic bread. They fixed the charge, but offered no apology. Finally, based on the sign in the parking lot, we thought we could park for free w/validation. Turns out, after 8:30 pm, it’s $ 12, even with validation. I spent a couple weeks in Australia and New Zealand, this was, by far, the worst dining experience during my stay. I recommend avoiding La Giara.

This is our favourite restaurant! We are confident enough to sit down, not look at the menu and just say feed us. The food and preparation are excellent. It is BYO but there is nothing wrong with the house wine either. Pastas and sauces are home made. There are specials and vouchers and a la carte. Generally, you can be fed in under 2 hours so park for free next door at Coles. The name of the restaurant is from a film, Kaos, which is made up of short stories. La Giara is the comedy. The other stories are far from comedic.

A cute(and hidden) Italian restaurant in the Italian Forum. It is a shame that their actual location within the complex is hidden from ordinary view; not as visible as the other restaurants; although it makes a for a cozy night with a close friend or a loved one to enjoy a quality Italian dinner with you; and in the Italian capital of Sydney; how much better could your night honestly be? Especially if you are prepared to eat around yellow walls. And it is best to be prepared to come here hungry; especially after an athletic like Saturday. Friday or Saturday nights are worth going here to eat; however if I was to choose between the two different nights: I would be leaning towards a Friday night at this establishment for sure. It(Saturday) night just has a different vibe and feel to Friday night’s here; well for me anyway. And when I said come here hungry, I mean it. A chicken parma with chips(nice chunky one’s) and an abundant rainforest(talking about the salad here) really packs some punch, and is great on the stomach. Forget about dessert; not even a gelato next door: it would just drown the whole eating experience here. Cute and trendy, the service is also great; however for me the food here is a clear winner.
