Thumbs up ! I bought my bike from bicycle garage and my bike developed a problem on the Saturday afternoon so i was delighted to find out they were open on the Sunday as I needed my bike for the Monday — despite being very busy and booked up till the Wednesday they worked on the bike to fix with new part and giving it a mini service at the same time… with no charge as bike was only a couple of months old … a happy bike and a happy me… a very recommend friendly service for now and in the future. Good one Bicycle Garage happy days. Neil forrester.

I have had some horrible luck with bikes. I had a mysterious bur in my tyre for a while, so I’d be constantly going back and forth to Lilyfield Bike Shop for puncture kits and new inner tubes, thinking I just had really bad luck. Then they examined the interior of my tyre for me and solved that little problem, only for my gear shifter to somehow bend and get caught in my spokes one late night on my return from Redfern. Given that the spokes were jammed I couldn’t wheel my bike and had to carry it home. That was a long evening, it was okay though, I was able to sleep in till 4am because I had a shoot in the morning. I took my bike to the Lilyfield guys and they went about ordering the necessary parts and arranging to fix my bike for me. They were able to get it done in only a couple of days which was good, as it is my primary source of transportation. The mechanics there are über helpful and know what they’re talking about. The price, while kind of expensive is, after a quick look around at the competitors in the area, standard issue and relatively cheap in terms of labour. The shop doubles as a little café where bicycle riders meet and have coffee and cake, muffins are available and there’s pretty much everything you would ever need for your bike for sale there.(Apart from a gear shifter, which only took two days to get in anyway. But how often do they snap?)
