As far as food court kebabs go, this is as good as it gets. A workmate introduced me to this place after listening to me despair about the lack of lunchtime entertainment around Windsor. Turbo Kebabs is situated inside Centro Lutwyche Shopping Centre. I’m not usually a kebab eater but I’ll probably convert after tasting one of their beef kebabs. And my friend visits this place no less than twice a week. He vouches for the quality of their chicken kebab with lettuce, tomato, onion and hot chilli sauce. A regular serving is $ 8.50 which is reasonable given its generous portion. The only downside is that when you reach the end of the kebab, it gets soggy and messy to eat. I don’t think that is a problem specifically to Turbo Kebabs. It’s more a criticism of kebabs in general. Why do they leave that gaping hole in the end? They should adopt the expedient Vietnamese hand roll method where you tuck the base up to begin with to prevent leakage. In fact, I’ve always written off the last 10% on a kebab because it’s always soaked into the packaging or worse yet — leaked onto my clothes. Also, the customer service is great – genuine greetings, smiles and manners. Give this place a go next time you’re in the area.

Kebab. That glorious food you turn to after a heavy night fuelled with alcohol. It’s funny how it’s all you crave after going out but during the day, it’s the last food you go to. For me though, it’s a little different. I’ve discovered a place that makes the best kebab. It’s nowhere fancy and doesn’t look all that exotic, but Turbo Kebab in Centro Lutwyche’s foodcourt is the bomb-diggity. At a really good price starting at $ 7 you get so much filling and they include a lot of meat! I’ve been to many other kebab places, given most were after a night out, but I find that they don’t include a lot of meat and filling. And this is why I love Turbo Kebab, they make great kebabs, at good prices and all the fillings are fresh. I am yet to find old wilted lettuce in my kebab. If it’s in your area, I definitely recommend stopping by for a quick bite to eat.
