We specialise in Craft Parties for kids, teens and adults in the Mackay area. We also do Face Painting for both private and corporate events, as well as monthly DIY workshops for adults in the local area.

Established in 2015.

Crafts Outside the Box was established in March 2015 after owner Kate Fry relocated from busy Sydney to follow her dream of starting a creative and fun party business in her hometown of Mackay.

Business Owner

My name is Kate Fry and I am the owner and manager of Crafts Outside the Box in Mackay, Queensland. With five years busy retail experience and years of child/​teen-​centred volunteering under my belt there’s no doubt in my mind that making other people happy is where I find my enjoyment.

With a love of hosting a good party and an enthusiasm for all things DIY, Crafts Outside the Box is truly a coming together of my many talents and passions. After spending a few years in the public service I have happily given up the comfort of an office for the craft table and facepaints.
