I ordered the ‘sliding start’. It was 4 sliders, each the diameter of a 20 cent piece, with 1 leaf of baby spinach, a few shards of pancetta, half a teaspoon of tomato sauce and a quarter of a scrambled egg in each. They were dry, bland, and left me feeling hungry and underwhelmed. And with modern hipster pricing, this place is a big let down.

This place sure got themselves a prime spot in Macquarie Centre Always busy, long queues yet the food is just not that great. The drinks are ok, although on second visit they screwed up my affocato, so never again. The appeal is the location and hipster café style which comes along with the prices too.

Best mocha in Sydney. No powdery taste, they use melted chocolate. Love the coffee as well and excellent service. Best café service in Sydney.

Just another coffee place, inside the shopping center on level 3 near uniqlo. It well set out for a seemingly out of place coffee shop. But there was quite a menu, apparently they serve breakfast and other small meals as well as snacks, desserts and of course coffee.

This is the place to make your friends Instagram envy. Drinks too pretty to sip, food looking fresh, this is my kind of café. As for how the drinks tasted, they were good, but not as great as they looked. Worth a try. Food was excellent. For the standard Sydney brunch prices, you sure get bang for your buck here — the servings are huge! Service is incredibly fast. All the waiters speed walk in sneakers. The downsides were that the tables were too small and the waitstaff paraded up and down the café literally every 30 seconds, eyeballing you as if to say«hurry up, are you leaving yet?» even though you just got your food! As a customer, the feeling of being rushed is not a pleasant one, particularly as you are at brunch to enjoy the time!

I love this place for an excellent coffee with really great service. The food looks fantastic however so far I have only had coffee and banana bread… both of which were fantastic. The music is quite loud which I like however may bother some people. It a very funky fresh café !!

Last thursday night was my first visit here all the staff were very welcoming & friendly. I ordered their chicken Caesar salad which was definitely one of the best I’ve had it tasted so fresh with delicious flavors. The wait was a little long for a salad though over half an hour. Then my friend and i were discussing(well contemplating) whether to indulge in one of their sweets in the window. We couldn’t stop staring and were indecisive as they all looked amazing! YES you guessed it… they had cronuts, scrolls, muffins, brownies you name it. Then before we could decide these 2 lovely girls behind the counter were packing up and had put a plate infront of us of a scroll each AND a cronut to share on the house. Now that’s what you call incredible customer service. Highly recommend their cookies & cream scroll hehe and i know i’ll be back there soon :-)

This place is my favourite café in Macquarie centre. Food is great and the customer service is attentive. I like how they have a coffee menu. They serve Gabriel coffee and have a nice assortment of scrolls and sweet treats. i highly recommend the salmon.

Nice atmosphere despite being tucked away in the middle of the Macquarie Centre Be prepared to wait in line — up to 45 mins. Despite everything being served cold, the food took a while to come out. Food quality is good, but the paper plate felt a bit flimsy and strange rather than quaint. The drinks are the star, although there is a price tag to them. But to be fair, they are jam packed — nearly a meal in of themselves in the case of the M&M, Malteser and Peanut Butter shake.

Don’t let the kiosk in the shopping centre fool you. This is definitely the best café around and worth coming here on purpose. The place has great vibe, the hipster staff is quite friendly, the coffee good and the food great. Expect lots of brioche sliders and burger buns. The place has a solid regular menu complemented by awesome specials that change daily. My special today was a bacon, egg, hashbrown thingy in a brioche bun that was simply amazing. :)

All drinks have very creative look and tasty! Almost everyone would take out their phone to take a pic of their drinks when served as I observed including me of course! Heard their coffee and milkshakes are nice too so will definitely try next time. However their foods are not as impressive as the drinks have to say, we ordered chicken sandwich and burger.

The milkshakes here are fantastic! They look amazing and taste great too. The food I thought was only average, not a lot of flavour to my meal. I think the Vogue Café is a better option at the Mac Centre

Terrible service, waited 40 minutes for our order. When I asked how much longer it will be they replied«what did you order?» After giving my order for the second time, they walked away and never got back to me. Still waited for ages for our food as I suspected they only just put our through the second time. They did eventually apologize and gave us free drinks. When I went to pay they tried to charge us double(for the two orders) it was at that point they told us that our meal was on the house. Food was otherwise good.

Finally managed to try this after the longest time. Somehow the waitress was psychic. We were just walking past and she turns around and jumps in front of us: «table for for? We have one, just give me one sec.» We were seated pretty much right away. Fast service, funky drinks, awesome hashtag sliders, funky polenta chips. Enjoyed.

Friendly staff seems to be the consensus among Unilocalsters when it comes to The Missing Piece. Friendly and observant. With Mr Hangrypants distracted by a sneaker store down the way, I lined up alone to get a table as there was a bit of a queue. «Table for two?» I was asked almost immediately. Crikey, she must have seen us coming a mile away. Bill arrived as I was being shown to our table and we were efficiently given menus and then not forgotten about despite the place being jammed. We ordered food and coffee and the drinks arrived almost immediately, again, as I already mentioned, despite the place being jammed. A little while later our food arrived piping hot, again, and I can not be more emphatic about this, DESPITETHEPLACEBEINGJAMMED! This sort of efficient service just doesn’t happen in suburban Sydney. The coffee at The Missing Piece is great. The food is top quality. We had Big Breakfasts or «The Complete Picture», in keeping with the theme. Standard price at $ 18. I was thoroughly impressed all round with my experience and will be back. The only downer is that the OJ is really some kind of Orange Fruit Drink and I did come here one time early on in the piece and they served my tea with milk in a syringe on the side. I hope they have stopped that off putting little nod to modern café hipsterism. Other than that, all good in the hood(if North Ryde could indeed be described as a hood…)

The missing piece has by the best coffee in Macq. I ALMOST would give up my job and go back to studying do I can drop by here everyday for a coffee! Not only is the coffee great, the food is pretty hipster too! I’ve tried a few different things here and it’s not your average café food, it’s restaurant tastes with café prices :) Watching different dishes come out makes me want to go back and try everything on the menu. Staff and service are very friendly and accommodating. Be prepared for a wait, if you’re in a rush grab one of there famous desserts and coffee to go.

This little café is located in Macquarie Mall in the new wing. Food and coffee are pretty good but the real stand out thing that keeps us coming back is the service. The staff are friendly, professional and operate with a sense of urgency which in Sydney is not something you witness often. You’re greeted on arrival and checked up on regularly. There are one or two staff that are better than others but they all seem to be quite service oriented. The Mochas are sweet and strong and the babychino’s are awesome. So says my daughter. Have tried a few different dishes and they were all pretty good. Nothing that stands out as amazing but the ones that we had have been good.

Have been to this place twice in the past week and both times loved it! Seating is a mixture of booth style with stools, you can also sit at the«bar» or there are tall tables as well. The meals are made just a bit down from the café, the bar is where all the drinks are made. We arrived around 11.30am on sunday and already the place was packed except for 2 empty tables so got one of them. Its table service so the waiters will sit you down and take your order. I was estatic to find they had lime milkshake on the menu! I LOVE lime milkshake it was always my flavour of choice when i was younger and as you can tell still is as an adult but its rare to find places that make it! So off to a flying start when i ordered the lime milkshake and the Smashed avocado and smoked salmon on multigrain bread. A friend got the cacao and coconut milkshake with a shot of espresso in it — she said it was devine! The special drink they had on the menu was called«Chomp the yard» and it consisted of coffee with nutella milk! It seemed very popular as most of the other tables ordered it. Food hit the spot. Staff were attentive and friendly. Once you are all done you can pay at the counter. Every week they tend to have different specials. The second time round they had peanut butter, sea salt and white chocolate milkshake! WOW I tried a little but boy did it have a kick to it!

Popular brunch spot within the new fashion hub of Macquarie Centre! Saw a lot of people ordering what looked like a fruity cocktail — I tried one called«pash me». sitting at the bar as well made it feel almost like we were on a mini island vacation rather than the heart of a local shopping centre. Food was decent– unfortunately they were out of sliders that day which I was most keen to try. Be prepared to wait in line for a table on busy shopping days.

Staff friendly and attentive even though they were busy in a Sunday morning. Coffee is great but the sticky buns are sensational. I’ll need to go back when I’m hungrier to try the breakfast. I definitely had food envy from my neighbouring tables. A really imaginative menu.
