I went to a workshop with my partner who is a patient here. The workshop wasn’t really a workshop per se but more like a seminar about the various impacts that the spinal cord has on your body. It was interesting and Dr. Pete seems to know a lot, yet the whole hour felt like half a day. Maybe it was because I had been sitting in lectures all day already, but I think it was also because the whole speech he gave was too deterministic. According to Dr. Pete, everything you could possibly have is related to you spinal cord. Is it really? I’d like to think that sometimes I just have a headache because I drank or slept too much. In my opinion, it was more like a dead-obvious marketing strategy to attract new clients instead of a workshop.(Hence, at the end he also strongly promoted their 6 and 12-month packages) Well, I’m not a patient, I certainly won’t be in the future but they’re doing a good job with my partner’s back and are very flexible when it comes to scheduling appointments. It’s hard for me to judge the overall quality but as far as I can tell, Dr. Pete knows what he’s doing.

Dr Pete, as his regular patients like to call him has been my chiropractor for the past 4 years and I recommend him to all my friends. When I first started seeing him, he was based down in Norwood but has since moved up to Rostrevor. He is by far the best chiropractor I have ever had and is the only person who has been able to do anything to solve my chronic back problems among other things. Dr Pete’s moto is long term care and that’s how he runs his business, where he tries to educate his patients in order to help them achieve long term well being and not simply one off pain relief. When you walk through the doors of his practice, what you will most likely see are people waiting to get treated sitting on the left and Dr Pete on the right of the room performing adjustments on his patients. The room is open plan so you get to see Dr Pete performing adjustments on other patients while you wait for your turn. His two assistants, Ash and Kara are sweethearts and forever helpful if you have any questions or need any help with anything. While Dr Pete is working with patients, Ash will normally be at the desk to talk to patients and Kara will be around mingling with the patients or playing with the kids while their parents get treated. The interior is cosy with a large table at the far end if you want to read, with a free coffee machine right next to it if you happen to feel like a cup. In the far right corner is a small play area for children and a TV screen normally playing a concert from one of Dr Pete’s or the girls favourite music artists. Dr Pete also happens to be the president of the Chiropractic Association of Australia, so rest assured that if you ever need a chiropractor, you are definitely in good hands.
