I love coming to the club after a big day at the beach. You’ll need to join as a member or be a reciprocal member of another club or RSL. The menu is HUGE, with so many options that you’re sure to find something for even the pickiest eater, and the specials list is just as big. You’ll have to book ahead if you want to get a good table looking out on the ocean, and it’s worth it because the view is beautiful. Drinks are great prices and there’s also some fancy silly coloured cocktails available! The staff are always friendly and helpful. If it’s packed out the meals do tend to take their time getting to the table, but the portion sizes mean you’ll never leave unsatisfied. And of course, there’s the ever present Nippers raffles — worth it for a good cause!

Pork belly is dry and tasted burnt. No fat on it(why would i want fatless pork belly?). Very disappointed for $ 24. Baked potato was good though.

BESTCLUBONTHECOAST!(I also have a soft spot for Kirra, but for sentimental reasons). You really can’t go wrong here. The service is fast, but not to the point where you feel like you’re being rushed to get in and out. The staff are extremely friendly and obviously love their jobs. The views of Main Beach are pretty spectacular, and as another reviewer mentioned… the delightful looking lifeguards don’t hurt either. The food is fresh and everything is cooked perfectly! An early morning swim at Main Beach followed by breakfast here is the best way to start the day I promise. There’s really something here for everybody, all ages, and they’ve done it well! Look forward to stopping in on my next trip home to the Gold Coast.

The surf club has amazingly large portions with a great view of main beach… Plus you get to see a couple of delightfully looking lifeguards rocking around too. It’s counter menu has a large selection on pub grub which includes old faves such as fisherman’s basket, nachos and ginormous serving of Fred Flintstone-esque ribs. If you’re looking for a family friendly post beachy relaxed meal, definitely worth a look in. You might even get the chance to win a meat tray raffle(yes a MEATTRAY!) and help out the surf lovin gong charity too… Yup, win win for all!
