I went here for Lunch the other day with coworkers and thought they had a great food and beer selection. We ended up sharing a few items and they were all really good. If you’re interested in trying it all, like I always am, I would suggest the mini pulled pork burgers, the ploughmans platter, and the chunks. Will definitely go back for more.

Well great place for awesome beers and also great food. Foods were good and slightly above the normal and usual pubs/brewery. But the experience stopped there, when my girlfriend saw two big rats going under the tables. They were pretty big… That cold off a bit the overall experience… They should definitely take care of that as it shows that something is not clean in the building or else So very mixed feelings at the end.

Great beer, some are way too pricey though. l(AUD18 for a pint of imperial ale). Opening hours on Unilocal were not accurate. Last call on Sunday was around 22:00 while Unilocal at this time(February 2016) claimed itwould be open until midnight every day.

After a day on the beach, what better way to end the day, than to grab a bite and a brew at 4 Pines Brewery. We had a flight and every beer was excellent. The burgers are huge and goes great with the beers. The atmosphere is simply awesome. The open air seating makes for great views and people watching. This was one of our favorite places while on vacation in Manly.

Australia isn’t quite Portland when it comes to craft beers, but it’s definitely a stealth competitor on views, and you really can’t beat grabbing a pint or a tasting flight after a day hiking in Manly and staring out onto the wharf. Overall, the beer is tasty, if not the most avant-garde, the food is pretty good, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Not to mention they play an excellent soundtrack. Definitely a place for beer lovers visiting Sydney to go, and I imagine a place I’d frequent often if I lived nearby.

In manly and want a good beer, this is the place. Friendly staff, good food, décor and atmosphere up there with the best pub, oh and did I mention spectacular craft beer. You need to walk up the stairs and just sit and ponder the world over ice cold hoppy goodness.

I absolutely love 4 Pines Manly. The location is brilliant with stunning views. The atmosphere is always great and the staff are friendly. And as a non beer drinker the steak brings me back everytime!

Had the American IPA, so good x2. Expertly balanced use of hops with all the rich flavor but not the excessive bitterness found in most American IPAs. As of this writing, Google Maps has the pin location wrong. It’s actually around the corner on E. Esplanade.

3 minute walk from the ferry terminal. Loved this place! Only wish was that it had an ocean view. I had a beer flight consisting of Hef, Kolsch, Pale Ale, ESB, Stout and added a taster of their seasonal Maple Pumpkin Ale. Also had the chorizo and shrimp hot pot which was a fairly small portion but had great flavor and a spicy kick. All yum!

The brewery is just across the road from the Manly ferry station. Wanted to pop in to check out the place and try one of their beers. Tried out the Hef and wanted to take a 6 pack home but they were sadly out of them. Must be a popular one! Luckily their Oktoberfest celebration was starting the day we were there so we were able to order one of their freshly baked pretzels, which was delicious. Great place for beer and a snack if you’re in Manly!

We were at Manly for the Jazz Festival(which was a complete zoo to get to!) and as soon as we got off the ferry we were in need of a beverage! Our new found friend, Colin, took us here. It was a perfect place to catch our breath and grad a couple craft brews!

Searching online for Manly Brewery could be an interesting experience I’m sure. But finding a brewery in Manly Australia is definitely worth it. We went looking for a pint. Got a flight. Loved every beer. Ended up getting lunch here too. The fish and chips were tasty and fresh. And then there was the Hot Pot. Mmmmm, the hot pot. If you’re not an aussie it might sound odd but give it a shot. Tiger prawns, smoked chorizo, and an amazing base. We could not have found a better place. Just walk 100 metres from the ferry and grab a great brew and some glorious grub. Oh, and they have growlers, which seems really hard to find in Oz(I’m from the US where every brewery has a growler fill available).

What I love about this place is its commitment to not only their beer but their food as well. It’s definitely not a «pub» but rather a pretty nice restaurant with amazing beer. My recommendation if it’s your first time is to get the sampler– you’ll get 6 tastes(I think, maybe 7) so you’ll get to experience a lot of what they have to offer. Personally my favourite is the Kolsch followed closely by their Ginger Beer. You can also get beer to go from here, so once you’ve found your favourites you can take them home with you! As far as food is concerned you definitely have to get their«chunks” — perhaps a terrible name, but they’re probably 4 – 5 times fried over french fries that are out of this world. Pair that with one of their burgers and some beer and you’ll be in heaven.

Great brew pub. Super crowded. I didn’t particularly like the lack of table/waiter service but it worked out. While I ordered my mate snagged a table near the open windows. Food and beer were excellent! And what a nice ferry ride over and back from Sydney harbor!

We caught a ferry to Manly to try out this little brewery by the wharf. It was during an autumn sunset and the place was brimming with people. We couldn’t get a seat by the balcony so we went inside. They have a great selection of European style beer. I tried the Belgium beer(it starts with H and ends in N … but it’s not Heineken) and it was pretty good. The guy at the bar recommended that we match the beer with their sticky date pudding. I thought it was a strange combo at the time, but I was proven wrong. The beer and the caramel sauce dessert went really well together. The ambience was great with the growing crowd and the live band playing in the background. Next time if we get a better seat, we might try the meals too.

Good food and great service. The beers are ok. Good location but no view of the water due to a building.

4.5 stars. My husband and I decided to end our trip to Sydney with one last dinner in Manly, where we were spending the last few days. It’s a great little micro-brewery that brews on site and also serves delicious pub fare. Every day they have great specials, as well as live music, so be sure to check out what the deal of the day is. On Wednesdays, you get a rack of ribs plus a pint for $ 25, which basically means that the pint is free. My husband tried the ESB, and thought it was quite tasty. For food, I got the steak which was excellent. It was a good quality piece of meat, well seasoned and cooked to a perfect medium rare. I ordered a side of veggies instead of chips, and had a nice selection of green beans(which everyone gets), broccoli and another sort of green that I couldn’t figure out– it tasted great though! My husband got the lamb salad, and thought that the lamb was well-cooked and had very flavorful toppings as well. His uncle got the ribs, and seemed to thoroughly enjoy them. As we left, they had live music playing. It’s a great spot(on the second floor) with a partially obstructed view to the harbor.

Great beer. Great food. Great location. Great brewery. Just simply great. Whenever i catch up with anyone in Manly this is my first thought of where to go. The beers made by the 4 Pines boys are top notch — and they taste even better when poured straight from the keg here– which isn’t surprising considering they’re made on the spot. They have the full 4 Pines range on tap as well as rotating seasonal beers on the ‘Kegger Door’- 10 points if you try them all! The place has a really great atmosphere which probably has something to do with the view of the water, the live music, and the general comradery which comes about when you put a bunch of good people drinking good beer in a room together. The staff are all friendly and its just a great place to be. If you can get here midweek it is definitely worth it. Specifically because Tuesday is $ 25 pint and curry night and Wednesday is $ 25 pint and ribs night! That’s right! You get a pint and a massive plate of ‘step over your own mother’ tasting ribs for $ 25! Don’t go to ribs and rumps– come here on a Wednesday and enjoy the great ribs for cheaper and with better beer. Whilst I am a big fan of all the beers here– I must also make a special mention of the Ginger Beer they have on tap. The Brookvale Union Ginger Beer is definitely worth a try. This beer actually got some bad press for its label which was seen to be slandering Ganesh and the Hindu religion about a year ago, but its clearly blown over as it hasn’t changed. My guess is that once they tried this amazing brew– all was forgiven. It is by far the best ginger beer I’ve ever tasted and I’ve had a few. Whenever I come here this is the one pint I always make sure I get. Do yourself a favour and drop in to the 4 Pines and say hi to glory that is this mighty place.

What a place to come across on our visit to Manly! After doing my research on Unilocal(obviously) I added this to my list of things to do, and took my ever-willing parents along. We found it easily enough, tucked away from the main shopping area and up some steps, it felt secluded enough to retain its ‘local’ feel but still have plenty of hustle and bustle from tourists. The microbrewery inside was great to see, and I loved the set up — I felt right at home and the whole place wouldn’t look out of place in the Northern Quarter of Manchester! Not a beer drinker, I had a few ciders, while the parents had the sampler, before moving on to their favourites. The selection isn’t exactly vast, but they appear to have a wide variety of both dark and light brews, plus their changing Keller Door option, which is much more of a mystery. 4 stars purely for the fact it doesn’t have much of a view; if only it could be on the other side! If you’re a beer lover and want something other than lager, this is the place to be — it’s right off the ferry and can ease any sea legs you may have!
