Fantastic food and good coffee. The bread is excellent. The staff is nice, and outside the loading dock in front of it, it can occasionally be a nice quite place to have a bite to eat.

Let’s start with YUM! Gluten free goodies makes this a great place, not to mention the fact the brownies are delicious, the service is amazing and the coffee is pretty good! I will definitely be back!

My review is only about the coffee here. A friend of mine who lives in the area suggested we try it. I had a cappuccino takeaway and, in hindsight, should have ordered a double shot as, the single shot was a bit too weak, which suggests one of two things a) too much milk and less foam or b) coffee not strong enough. I think it was too milky to qualify as a cappuccino in my opinion making it a bit weak. The place itself is quite nice and has a good vibe to it. It’s small and there is some outdoor seating. The breads and pastries looked good. Places like this never existed in Manly years ago when I lived there and glad that a few of these have come up in the last few years.

Cute little café with a great vibe and community feel — very Manly. The brownies are to die for(and heathy? They’re raw, gluten free, and all that jazz) but the croissant I had this morning was pretty average and stale. However, my friend raves about them all the time so I might have to give one another try.

The croissants here are the best in Sydney but you’ll have to get in early because they sell out fast! Plus if you’re looking for a heathy treat they do plenty of scrummy sugar free, dairy free, gluten free cakes. Who says eating cakes can’t be healthy!

This is a local haunt for us to get our morning coffee. It’s quite small inside, so get in early if you want a table! In nice weather you can sit outside, but there’s often lots of rubbish trucks and tradies going past the carpark, so not exactly relaxing scenery. Service is friendly, sometimes there is a little wait for coffee, but coffee is good! In fact it has improved a lot recently! Food wise the bread looks amazing and is freshly baked. The muffins are yummy too. The almond croissants sell like hot cakes. My fave is the raw vegan chocolate and nut slice. It makes me feel hipster and so in touch with the Manly health crowd! Breakfast menu looks great, haven’t tried yet though. They make their own muesli, and they do eggs with basil and chilli and feta. There’s nice pies and pastries, but gluten free quiches and muffins are also on the menu. Or, try the coconut/apricot or fruit and nut balls($ 3 each) — they put rum balls to shame!

Based on a Unilocal search of bakeries in Manly, we find this little gem. In search of Bourke St bakery style sausage rolls for brekkie, we buy their beef sausage roll. We also take with us a huge Crossiant, apple walnut muffin and a sour dough bread stick(that’s for later) all for $ 16. I’d say I didn’t enjoy this sausage roll as much as the Bourke st one but it was still tasty. The pastry was a bit under — probably from sitting on the tray for a bit, but my hubby enjoyed it all the same. A meaty sausage roll not too unlike the Zumbo variety of rolls. The Crossiant was flaky and buttery enough, just as I like them. With no oily residue left when eating with your hands! The sour dough had a great crust on it and went well with our chowder(which we had later at Balmoral!). The apple walnut muffin was a bit dry for my liking but was flavoursome. Was a mixed bag for me but if I find myself back in Manly I’d consider trying them again and tasting their other products and if someone asked me where to find such a bakery in Manly, I’d mention this place to them for sure!
