Super friendly. Great coffee. Amazing food. This is definitely my favourite place to go in manly.

Very laid back atmosphere, with super delicious food served in near-fast food pace. I ordered a egg Benedict with smoked salmon and a chai tea latte. The latte’s on-point froth and the poached egg made to perfection would let alone tempted me to grant a 5 star rating. However hollandaise could have been better, hence it gets the well deserved 4 star

The café is in a good location with a good outlook no water views of course. We only ordered coffees originally which were good. So we decided order lunch but that wasn’t as good. One meal was soup which was Luke warm with a strong herb flavour and the other was a club sandwich which was reasonable.

One of my favourite breakfast spots in Manly! Avocado on toast with ‘a little extra’ is my favourite and is great value. The coffee is also great however every time I have been I have been halfway through my breakfast before my coffee comes out. Definitely worth the wait though.

Great breakfast spot. I have been about 4 times for breakfast and only had one bad experience on a crazy busy Sunday morning but other than that always good. Coffee is a thumbs up and all breakfast options are some what healthy and fresh sounding. The«sourdough with a little extra” — marinated feta, avocado and roasted tomatoes served with butter and lemon wedge, never goes down bad. Breaky and a coffee will set you back about $ 20 with change to spare usually.

This is my new favorite spot for brekkie in Manly. It’s always crowded but the turnaround time is really quick. The eggs Benedict is delicious with a big cappuccino. I’ve also enjoyed the eggs on toast with feta and avocado. Great chai lattes! I really don’t think you can go wrong.

I’ve walked past this place many times along the promenade and could see the place was always packed. After doing The Spit to Manly walk one weekend morning, I was totally starving for breakfast and needed to fuel up. What better place to stop than Three Beans. Even though they were obviously flat out, the staff greeted me nicely and upon seeing I was going to eat inside, asked me to sit down and they would be with me in a minute. They were spot on. I was hoping to get the Acai muesli but they ran out, at 11am in the morning! I was a little disappointed but ordered the normal Three Bean muesli which was really nice. The coffee was nicely done. I was a little apprehensive that(1) they would either forget me as there were so many people and(2) that the coffee would be ordinary as this place was a chain. I was wrong. The coffee was awesome, crema was there, not too cold or hot(I hate lukewarm coffee and have asked several places for my coffee to be remade!). Very reasonably priced I think compared to other cafes in the area. Will be back!

I was only in Sydeny for the day but managed to have three coffees, and this was the best by far. They do however do that annoying Sydeny thing of writing in permanet marker on the lid, so there was a slight smell of marker while I had my drink… I hate that places do thar not write on the cup or use a pen!

I stopped here for a late brunch on a lazy Saturday afternoon, and I will always remember this café as the place I turned into my mother… I was doing some serious ogling of other people’s plates as they were delivered to their tables(but luckily I refrained from asking strangers what they were eating). My Big Breakie was rather good, with all the ingredients that make a breakfast big here in Oz: roasted tomatoes, mushrooms, perfectly scrambled eggs, toast, sausage, and bacon(but it’s not bacon, it’s really just ham). Although I was enjoying my filling brunch, I couldn’t help but notice the food coming out of the kitchen… the fresh-looking veggie wraps, big chicken sandwiches, over-flowing salads. And judging by the quality of my breakfast, I imagine that all of these beautiful plates tasted great as well. Add to this experience a decent cup of coffee and its convenient location that is perfect for people watching, Three Beans is a lovely place to spend an afternoon in Manly.

Three Beans sits amongst the Manly Beach cool café circuit. I stopped in on a Sunday late morning. The brunch crowd was in full swing and I couldn’t help but wish I had a little more time before I needed to catch the city-bound ferry. I walked up to the counter and enquired about the take-aways. A sandwich case offered a small selection, but I opted for a chai tea and raisin toast. The waiter seamed to have a little too much sea water in his brain to know what was happening, but I think he charged us basically what he owed and the order came out mostly right. If you’re in a rush, I wouldn’t recommend 3 beans. However if the Manly laziness has employed your thought process for the weekend, it might be just the right speed.

The Three Beans café in Manly is the first of the Three Beans cafes which have popped up around Sydney. The three beans it’s talking about are coffee, vanilla and mung, and they represent it’s three main values which are ethical, tasty and healthy food. The one in Manly seems to happily tick at least two of the three boxes as the menu offered a broad variety of breakfast and lunchtime goodies which had all the ethical labels you could hope for. Healthy though? Well, not entirely. As with any good coffee shop there was a stack of deliciously unhealthy looking cakes and cookies, the only thing missing were some artery clogging pastries! My favourite. I plumped for just a coffee which was rich and aromatic. We were also given a big jug of iced water which I was grateful for, they’re clearly used to dehydrated beach-goers! The café itself is very spacious, with clean white walls and wooden chairs. It opens out onto a bit of road that meets the Corso, so you feel right in the centre of things without being overcrowded. Definitely a mid-morning must if you’re milling around Manly(alliteration overload?!).
