The perfect location at the end. Of a round of golf. Good food reasonably priced, a selection of seating options, inside and out including the excellent new alfresco area. Fred and his team balance the needs of a mixed clientele well. Golfers, cyclists from the passing bike path and locals. A quiet coffee in the morning to full on live music during the weekend evenings, the Swanbank provides it all at a reasonable price

The Swanbank Bar and Café is located on the surrounds of the Maylands Peninsula Public Golf Course, and caters to thirsty golfers who have just finished 18 rounds of golf, as well as people in the vicinity who are looking for a picturesque waterhole. The Swanbank has an intimate feel on the inside, with a décor made of uncovered bricks and dark wooden floorboards. The outside is covered by a gazebo and offers a lovely view of the golfcourse and the Perth CBD in the skyline. The drinks selection is rather disappointing at the Swanbank. The beers are generally low-quality [think: Carlton]. The food is standard pub fare, such as porterhouse steak with chips and salad, although the food is done well and the portions are generous. The Swanbank is okay if you are looking for a quick drink after a game of golf, but there are much better options for food and beer nearby — there is the 8th Avenue café strip just up the road, or there is the myriad of fine pubs in the CBD/Northbridge area about 10mins drive away.
