Russell Borrett, a fully accredited member of Australia’s peak body for professional photography, the Australian Institute of Professional Photography.

With extensive experience in wedding photography, family, baby, and portrait photography in Melbourne, Canberra and across Australia. Russell also has experience working for a modelling agency, modelling photography and portfolios for fashionistas and up and coming models, and has worked with a number of Australian award winning photographers, conducting in a professional manner at all times.

A background in graphic design has helped to developed a style of photography that he calls his own.

While keeping focused on clients photography requests he is always on the look out for those magical pictures and emotional moments to capture.

History

Established in 2005.

My career started with a fascination for photography and cameras, its been said many times before, there is something magical about holding a camera and clicking the shutter, more so a few years back with film cameras but still relevant with our high tech cameras today.

My first camera was a 1986 Nikon F401 and a lens with broken contacts so no meter reading but this taught me a lot about film exposures. Today i use Canon 5d mk111 married with awesome canon glass/​lenses, we as photographers are so spoiled today with the fantastic array of equipment available.

I believe there is still a high level of skill required from photographers to meet the demanding needs of today’s wedding photography in amazing venues and you just cant rely on the latest camera equipment, i value my history and past experiences very much.
