Walked in for a quick coffee as I liked the Art Deco look of the place. The café is located in an arcade within one of my favourite CBD buildings, the Manchester Unity on the corner of Swanston and Collins. The place looks old school with photos of the building on the walls adding to a past era vibe. The food looked nice but I just had a slice of carrot cake and it was delish. The coffee was a little bitter unfortunately so I left feeling a little disappointed over all.

My friends and I actually stumbled upon this place while looking for a different brunch place in the same building(the Manchester Unity building). We decided to go in because the menu looked pretty good. For breakfast, I ordered the hash stack($ 19) and it was amazing. It was chunks of bacon, roasted potatoes, baby spinach, and a poached egg, all served on top of a piece of sourdough toast. It was a pretty big portion. I started getting full about halfway through but it was just so good that I couldn’t stop eating it. To go with this masterpiece, I also ordered a flat white($ 4) which was just okay. I feel like it wasn’t really hot enough. 1932 café is a little more on the expensive side for a breakfast(unless that’s just how much breakfast costs in Melbourne!). But I would say go ahead and splurge! Take yourself out! You deserve it! You can check out their menu here:

Definetly a post First World War feel to the restaurant, with décor and music to match. Fantastic lunch menu and breakfast until 3pm. Gluten free and paleo diet needs easily meet by super friendly staff. If only I had a job where I could have a liquid lunch…
