I found the flippant attitude of the person who served me to be a bit lacking in care and knowledge. I asked for edible gold flakes or glitter, and he handed me a 5gram pot of ‘glitter’. When I asked for details on what made the glitter edible, he said it’s all written on the jar. Which I later discovered was not the case at all. Unfortunately he also did not provide me with a receipt, so returning the item was not an option. When I researched the product online, I discovered that in fact the glitter was for decorative purposes only, and definintely not edible…

If you used to flick through your mum’s Women’s Weekly cake decorating book and wish you could make that jelly-filled swimming pool for yourself, then this is the shop for you! Cake Deco has everything(and I mean EVERYTHING) you will ever need to make crazy, professional or beautiful looking cakes. I still get excited by the sprinkles and gold balls in the tiny cake decorating section in the supermarket, so as you could imagine I complete lost my shit in the face of the colourful crazy wonder-candies in Cake Deco. So I admit I’m pretty shit at cake decorating(or any kind of home making activity, really) but I can say with pride hat I helped my friend shop for the bits to make her Day of the Dead scull cake here, and she won first prize in her Halloween office bake-off. Yes, a truly awesome shopping experience — but I recommend getting someone else to do the work.

Well if you’re making a cake and you either don’t know how, or you really know how, then cake deco is your best bet. It’s exactly what the title suggests. Cake. Deco. Decorate that cake like a mother flipping pro! They have utterly everything you could want. Basically: moulds, piping bags, books, sprinkles and things to whack on top of it to make that«Congratulations on your Tennis Retirement, Gary» cake complete. Then he’ll know how you really feel about him. And soon, he will be yours. If you’re a cake eater then you know the best ones are the ones that look too good to touch. The experience is heightened somewhat by desperately wanting to eat something which looks too good to be true. It’s a large store and it’s full of things. At points it’s actually hard to get to the thing you want because you’re so surrounded by other things. The staff are helpful and know how to sort you out or point you in the right direction. Come here and become the cake master you know is hiding inside of you.
