For a tiny scrap of land in the middle of the CBD, surrounded by tram tracks and a train station, this is a surprisingly nice spot. I dropped by after picking up some take away near my train station and realising I had got the train departure time wrong, necessitating my journey begin without having eaten.
Popping out of Parliament I thought I would be relatively alone eating at Gordon Reserve, but I was completely wrong. Seems a lot of the CBD have discovered this place too. And I don’t blame them for coming back to eat in the sun and kick their shoes off.
