History

Established in 2008.

Halogenics was founded to design, develop and implement a software solution for tracking data related to biomedical research.

More recently, our offerings have diversified to include online application, tracking, approval and amendment systems, and performance metrics tracking and analysis.

Meet the Business Owner

Andy F.

Business Owner

Andy has a Bachelor of Cognitive Science, a Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science (both from La Trobe University) and more than 16 years experience in IT support for the biomedical and education sectors.

Prior to founding Halogenics Andy spent 11 years as a systems manager and developer at one of Australia’s most prominent research institutions, and it was here that his experience and interest in Research and Colony Management systems was developed.

Andy has spent his career designing, developing, implementing and supporting expert systems, and understands that these types of systems cannot work without close consultation with the people who need to use the system on a day-​to-​day basis.
