What is La Cucina di Sandra about? Cooking classes and having an Italian cooking and eating experience like no other!
If you love food, cooking and Italian culture, then La Cucina Di Sandra has the Melbourne Food Experience to excite you! This is more than a cooking school, it’s a cooking and eating experience that brings people together and fosters a passion for Italian Food.
La Cucina di Sandra is all about rejoicing in the everyday and learning the art of eating and enjoying life the Italian way. This means celebrating life around a convivial table, sharing original Italian food made with simple but quality ingredients. When you leave my classes you will feel enriched and confident to cook these dishes yourselves.
My classes are a celebration of heritage and authenticity in Italian food with an emphasis on innovation, creativity and regionality. This is what Italian food and I am all about. Come to one class and you will come back for more!

History
Established in 2014.
I opened ‘La Cucina di Sandra’ in 2014 turning a lifelong dream and passion into reality.
Classes started in August 2014, we have since held more than 30 classes and received more than 300 guests.
In October 2014 we won the WOMO 5 Star Service Award.
Our guests have loved the classes, the atmosphere, the food and the recipes. Our guests leave the classes inspired by my cooking and will use my recipes at home. The results are such that most people return for more classes to learn more about the regional cuisines of Italy.
Meet the Business Owner
Sandra M.
Business Owner
Born in Italy in Pescara, Abruzzo, and raised amongst strong women who loved to cook for their families, I have a passion for cooking developed from a very early age.
I studied in Italy and graduated as an Accountant.
I migrated to Australia in 1971 where learning English and establishing a career as a senior Finance, Administration and Systems Manager became my passion.
I was very successful in managing a number of businesses and I achieved great results. My passion for cooking was a hobby but cooking Italian food remained a dream as I had no family here to learn from, I had no recipes and no one who could teach me how to cook the dishes I grew up with.
Establishing my business and starting the cooking classes has been the realization of a lifelong dream.
What I want to achieve is create an environment where people will be able to learn to cook the Italian food I never had access to.
