Love that they use actual squid, love that they do the local thing, the family thing, the enviro thing… Also love the concept of the Bocadillo. I think maybe i caught a bad night, i spent more time scraping off mayo than i did eating the thing! It was layered like yoghurt on cereal without milk, as opposed to sparingly. Which is a shame because it was a nice flavour, but the warmish calamari had a hard enough time competing with the flavour of the bread, it didnt need to compete with mayo too. The flavours were there but the combination was off. If you like lots of mayo youll love i tEveryone else ask them to go easy when you order. Or catch them at a better time!

If you haven’t yet tried Mr. Calamaro, you are clearly missing out.
I got the chance at this year’s Gabs festival, and am so glad that I had them. I tried the Bocadillo, a burger made up of calamari. It’s crunchy, soft, chewy, saucy and perfect. It was so good that I actually got sad finishing it, because I only wanted more!
It’s definitely the BEST burger with seafood that I have ever tried. It was mouth watering delicious and leaves your palate with a zest for more.
The nicest people are serving you, it was so wonderfully yummy, I cannot wait to see them at another festival or market. Find them on Facebook, they list out every event they will be at.
