First a disclaimer. This was a employer paid stay for the entire duration. I stayed here recently for just under three months. Check in and out smooth and hassle free, handed room swipe within 2 minutes, up in the room in 5. Reception accepted half a dozen deliveries for me and had them up in my room when I came back from work which was appreciated. Good sized lounge and dining table, ‘L’ shape full-length windows on the building corner overlooking William and Bourke Streets. Double glazed so most of the noise is knocked out. Able to be opened on warm nights or when you want to let the city in. Small balcony(about 1m depth) which can’t really be utilised. Kitchen is basic and slightly outdated but performed every function I needed. Fridge size ample. Dishwasher worked fine and was restocked with powder every day. I would bring your own knives if you stay for an extended period here(an interesting conversation at the airport if you’re travelling from interstate) as the supplied ones are rubbish. Washing machine worked fine, no complaints or ruined clothes. Drying racks provided. An additional one was walked up on request. TV was a 32″ recent LCD. HDMI inputs worked fine linking my laptop up. No restrictive hotel propaganda boxes, just normal free to air TV. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Lots of cupboard and drawer room for clothes and shoes. There’s an iPhone dock/alarm on the beside table, it’s an old 20-pin connector. You’ll need a 20-pin to lightning adapter if you’re using an iPhone 5 or higher. No big deal. WiFi is very pricey. Telstra and Optus coverage was fine up to level 5. I had no problems using wireless broadband or with voice calls via either provider. Bathroom was well sized and functional. Shower is the bath/shower hybrid type. Water pressure was lacking sometimes. Fine otherwise. Slightly outdated. Location is good for an extended stay. This NW corner of the CBD hosts a heap of banking, law and other well known corps. There’s minimal tourist or nightlife venues as a result which makes it super quiet on a Friday and Saturday night. Spencer St station is a 10 minute walk and houses a full sized Coles and Woolworths. Flagstaff station is a 5 minute walk. Bourke St mall is a 5 minute walk or 2 trams stops. 55 tram runs down William(directly out the front door). 86⁄96 tram runs down Bourke(200m from the front door). Coffee/food wise… Patricia specialty coffee at the bottom of the building. Brother Baba Budan a 5 minute walk down Little Bourke. Movida Aqua directly at the rear of the building. I’ve been back here and paid for a personal stay of a few nights since and everything was consistent with my first stay. There’s nothing groundbreaking about Quest on William but it was a solid base to live in while working in the CBD. Minimal noise. Clean. Excellent location. Accommodating, friendly staff. I’d highly recommend for medium-long term stays.
