This quiet little stand alone restaurant on Latrobe steed always look a bit dodgy to me. The décor is very very basic and simple and they do cash only! Surprisingly the food wasn’t too bad. We had rice cake, prawn and pork wonton in chilli sauce, red bean bun, prawn and pork dumplings and pork dumplings and we at it all and it add up to about $ 10.50 each. This is close to my work so I think I will be back!

I will not recommend people dining in this restaurant, food is not good. Wait time is long and they’ll also rush you to finish your order around 8:50pm when they close at 10pm! You’ll have to order at the door in the queue, kind of like a food court set up. Most disappointed at the service, as they try to squeeze you into long full tables that had 12 people already(I was a party if 3 and they tried to chuck some chairs in at the end of a long table). They told us you have to take this table otherwise you won’t have time to finish your meal. Waitresses also wiped the chopsticks on their pants. I will not pay to dine in this degrading atmosphere.

Tried the fried chicken and prawn and the Peking pork in chilli broth — both awesome!

the dumplings here were actually the best I have ever had. stuffed full with filing and covered in a light dough both the pan fried and steamed dumplings were fantastic. The soup dumplings are huge and delicious but the pork dumplings really stole the show.

Amazing little hidden gem on Lt Bourke at Elizabeth! Visiting from SFO and this place still ranks right up there with the best SFO has to offer. And why not? Who says SFO sets any culinary standards?
