I love this studio for three reasons mainly location which is über convenient, a range of class options before and after work as well as lunchtime and the super easy online class reservation system. The studio is clean well lit and the staff are friendly. I have had a few different yoga teachers and they are all knowledgable, friendly and happy to help out. They create a real sense of peace and encourage you to work at your own pace which is essential for a studio. Only downside no showers. Doesn’t bother me but might some. I also like to do a bit more mediation but if that is your thing there are classes that offer that too. All in all a good venue. If you want to try it out go for the $ 5 community class on Sundays.

This yoga studio is conveniently located in the Melbourne CBD, although this location also means you don’t get the peace and quiet you’d typically expect of yoga studios — I mean, you’ll find your practice punctuated with the occasional interruption from people down on the streets, usually when the instructor leaves the windows open. I bought a Living Social 10-class pass for a bargain price of $ 40 and was very happy to find that I had access to all classes other members had. Their website also offers a very neat scheduling system where I log in to book myself into a particular class for the day or week. Their evening classes(4.30pm and 5.30pm) can be quite busy but I’ve not had problems scheduling one within the day before. The instructors are clearly very professional and well-trained in their yoga practices. They’re also very helpful with correcting poses in a discrete but pointed manner. Something I find lacking in other yoga classes I’ve done — instructors either let you get away with practising the wrong pose or point it out non-discreetly, drawing attention to one during the practice itself! The only downside to this studio is that its grown too much for its facility size! The change rooms and studio rooms are quite small for the number of people that come through in the evenings although I can imagine it would be quite pleasant in the afternoons or mornings when its quieter. They also offer Pilates and Ashtanga yoga which I understand is not very common in other yoga studios in Melbourne! I might just purchase more classes when I’m done with my 10-class pass!
