Description

History

Established in 1838.

Located on a prominent corner site on Collins street, and formerly home to historically significant ‘The Bank of Australasia’, interest is rising in the newest venture from The Retail Savvy Group, ‘The Bank On Collins’.

Built in 1838 from New Zealand Omaru stone, with ornate metal balustrades, this opulent site is listed with the Australian Heritage Commission and the National Trust of Australia as a heritage site.

One of the few surviving buildings that was not lost to the wrecker’s ball during Collins Streets redevelopment during the 50’s, you can bank on us to highlight the wealth and luxury that this grand institution deserves.

This 5 story building played an integral part in Melbourne’s economy during the Gold Rush and the great depression, making this space a true Melbourne icon.
