The Martini Bar

Zero ambiance. It seems to have changed, it used to be a fun place for a quick martini after work but on this recent trip i have a repeat Zero ambiance.

Ooh boy, we’re talking suit and cigar territory here. It’s not actually required (and, come to think of it, cigars aren’t really allowed inside the bar itself). But it feels like it should be. Honestly, I feel like I’m in disguise whenever I visit.
And that’s not often, while we’re being honest. It’s a classy joint, but it’s the kind of class that leaves your wallet a fair bit lighter. Worth a visit, but you don’t want to make it a regular thing.

If you are wanting to spend a bit of time in a chic and cosmopolitan hang out spot, then you can’t go past The Martini Bar at 205 Collins Street Melbourne.
The Martini Bar inside the Westin Hotel is the ideal place to have a cocktail (or two) with your partner, or with one of your close friends and chat the night away and really cover a lot of ground. Your surroundings encourage it. Look around, mind your own business and you will be able to relate as to where I am coming from here. The ambience is inviting with full table service, and is a great place to have a great conversation with one of your closest friends over a cocktail (or other alcoholic drink, although the cocktails make your reward for hard work that extra special) either before or after dinner — preferably after a great dinner because your full and in the mood to socialise and be a great social companion. One of the most refreshing cocktails you can try is the Botanical Gardens for $ 20 a pop with a hint of fruit on the top. A girlfriend of mine’s (who I happened to be with on this particular Saturday night) berry mock tail looked refreshing and cool to taste as well.
The only downside is that the more comfortable lounges near the fireplace get snapped up real quick. This is a great drinking spot to hang out once in a while, not every weekend. I would definitely re-​visit this establishment for its style and unblemished customer service.
