It’s a hot day, you need something refreshing… Frozen yogurt is a healthy choice! … right?! haha Ah maybe don’t come here if you’re on a diet haha Too many delicious toppings! I would expect the sugar content on this frozen yogurt is quite high too! With that said, if you want a yummy treat on a warm day, then this is the place! Just be careful with how much you pile on because if you’re anything like me you will walk away with $ 10 worth of peanut butter cups haha

So after reading many reviews for multiple fro-yo stores in Melbourne’s CBD, I decided to try tutti frutti. I had plain, chocolate, blueberry and green tea flavors, and topped them with an arrangement of fruit. The fruit toppings were of great quality! But their flavors? Eh. Green tea was unique but probably not one I’d try again. Chocolate was delicious, though very rich. The one flavour that I think is the big decider on fro-yo stores is plain. I like a tart plain flavor, but this one was very sweet and I would personally classify it as vanilla bean. Overall, nice if you have a craving for frozen yoghurt, but if you’re like me and you really are particular about quality I wouldn’t say this is the place for you.

Repeat customer, although in the past five or so months, I am yet to see a change in yogurt flavours(?) For a company that prides itself on 50+ flavors on rotation, this is a little strange… Although it does suit me very well, as my chocolate and green tea options have yet to be removed.(Oh there will be tears on that day.) The toppings bar is amazingly extensive and yet, I NEVER add toppings. I just don’t like hard bits in my cold food. I can appreciate the selection though, freshly cut fruit especially. While I love the fun of self serve, and rarely spend over $ 6, please do be aware that you might spend more if you load up on toppings! The cups are BIG, often the smaller size has run out and the machines go FAST, so err on the side of caution, or you will have a $ 10 tube of fo-yo you will struggle to finish. I must have visited over ten times by now, I think we are in need of a loyalty card at Tutti!

Nawww just two stars? Let’s fix that shall we? Right! I am a huge fan of the self-serve. I mean what other fro-yo outlets can you mix and match as many flavours as you wish and help yourself to as much or as little as you want? The toppings are much more varietal and include naughtier options too(think oreo cookies, brownie bits, m&ms). What have we learnt from these reviews? Tutti-Frutti can be enjoyed as much as I do if you know that the frozen yoghurt is PRICEDBYWEIGHT. I would give five stars but Tutti-Frutti in Perth has more options — EIGHT yoghurt flavours — so it’s less one star in comparison. One more thing — the Taro flavour is awesome. Like coconut-white chocolate.

Self Service Frozen Yogurt and Toppings… What could go wrong? Indulgence. Just as Justine C. says i got sucked in by the appeal of self service and paid the price… $ 8.20 to be exact. It was $ 8.20 of pure bliss though(I have recently become to enjoy frozen yogurt). I had the Cookie & Cream flavour topped with nuts, chocolate sprinkles, m&m’s and more(Ok, so i’m not eating it for health benefits), but it was really quite delicious. The staff will send you a smile but don’t expect much help if you don’t know what you’re doing or if you have an accident!

Make sure you have plenty of cash at hand to buy some yummy frozen yoghurt at this establishment. Why? Self service can be quite dangerous. No different to those self service lolly shops where all your intended to buy was $ 1 worth of candy; yet two minutes later you have spent $ 10 on the same type of candy. If you serve yourself too much(hey this is an expensive buffet of yoghurt) suck it up; learn from the experience, pay for that experience and then forget(rather than regret) this experience so you will know better in the future never to make the same mistake again. There is an abundance of choice available, and the self service concept gives you a sense of accomplishment, and this establishment can get extremely busy, and within good reason as well. The variety of yoghurt may leave you feeling like a kid in a candy store with unique flavours such as green tea, chocolate and taro squished together. Watch it though; a small serving of five flavours consumed within two minutes(although delicious; although the berry frozen yoghurt was a disappointment) can easily set you back $ 7 plus, when all you intended to spend was $ 2 – 3 on a yoghurt. You would be better off heading downstairs to the supermarket to buy a tub of Vaalia for instance.
