I really like Simone Hughes. She’s a clinical psychologist with a creative edge. Simone’s practice is in the heart of Midland and her room is bright and breezy with various art works and an array of interesting books around the place. Simone asks her clients which direction they’d like to take with their sessions and can accommodate them with art therapy sessions. She is also hoping to run a group art therapy course later in the year. I’m told those who received the Medicare rebate for 10 psychology visits per year can also receive a number of group therapy sessions for a subsidised cost. Simone is friendly and personable and has a great range of knowledge that she can apply to a range of circumstances. The Creative Focus website is great to peruse. Simone regularly updates blogs and I often find inspirational one liners that make me smile. Simone shares her practice with a few other businesses and there’s a small communal car park out the back. Parking has never been a problem and I appreciate the fact Simone can accommodate after hours appointments. She also has EFTPOS, which is handy.
