Considering that it has been two and a half years since the last review, an update is certainly required. My wife and i were looking for something to eat at about 9:30 on a Saturday night whilst driving along Henley Beach Road. Somewhat surprisingly hardly anything was still open, but we noticed that Napoli was. Indeed it was still half full, and I did wonder whether it was because others had had the same problem in finding something open, or it was a measure of how popular the restaurant is. Happily I can report that it was the latter. The restaurant has been refurbished by the new owners and it has been operational for about three months. The waiting staff were very friendly, and it is obvious that their focus is to provide a more traditional Italian experience than your run of the mill pizza bar(not that i am an expert!), right down to Dean Martin playing over the sound system and the red and white chequered table cloths. It is definitely worth a visit — I am sure you will not be disappointed.

I can’t even really remember what the interior of this place looks like — I nearly always get delivery! From memory it is a white fluro lit room with a big silver pizza making counter on one side and a few outdoor-style chairs and tables on the other. If you live in the area(Mile End/Torrensville) and are looking for your local pizza takeaway joint — this is it. The pizzas are good, but it is worth paying a little more for something from the ‘gourmet’ range — slightly better quality of ingredients and better flavour combinations. I’m not that into dodgy pizza ham, so I nearly always order something from the ‘gourmet’ column. My favourites are the Nostimo, Margherita Originale, Fresca, the Parthenon or the Prosciutto. I love pizzas with bocconcini, basil, and fresh Italian vegetables. I have never tried the pasta — I’m always a little suspicious of takeaway pasta. The calzone is delicious though — go with the Gourmet Vegetarian. Prices aren’t dead cheap, but they are reasonable, especially when you’re ordering the massive 18″ pizzas.
