I had no idea what the Shire was getting excited about when the Bavarian came to town . Now I get it. I was shopping on Christmas Eve and took my daughter here for lunch because it was quiet. The best burger I’ve had, The Kanzler and a beer. Junior had a burger and lemonade. The burger is a bit small but satisfying and you don’t feel weighed down from it. The bill was $ 40. Staff are lovely. There was a menu hidden in the condiments tray to make your own salad /wrap. I need to try this next time . I went back again during Xmas festivities, it was so busy and we hadn’t made a reservation. People lining up outside, however they still found us a table. I again had The Kanzler, junior again had the cheese burger without the sauce. Grandma had Salmon and sourcrout, mashed potatoes etc. So obviously it gets busy here and is popular. Huge open design. Great food and beer ‚ Great place, great service, and great atmosphere !

Avoid the Munich dog, the sausage was poor quality and the bread was pathetic. My friends food was also disappointing and tasteless. The service was great and very friendly. The beer was fantastic, as you would expect.

Wooden barrels hanging from the ceiling, display of hanging steins over the bar and the ringing of the schnapps bell are just some of the things you’ll find in this establishment that Bavarian Bier are renowned for, well maybe not the hanging wooden barrels. This place offers a lighter menu choices as well as the traditional Bavarian favourites. With a unique menu like build-your-own salad or wrap, as well as burgers and hot dogs will do well with people looking for a quick bite to go. We had the Whole Pork Knuckle with creamy mash, sauerkraut, bier jus and Granny Smith Apple compote. The Pork Knuckle was perfectly cooked and everything else complements it, but I can’t help but wishing they put more sauerkraut and the jus. The Crackling Pork Belly with Braised Red Cabbage, Roasted Potatoes, Onion Bier Jus and Granny Smith Apple Compote was tasty. The Braised Red Cabbage was sweet and delicious, and went well with the richness of the Pork Belly. And the Crackling was perfection! Staff were friendly and keen to impress. As other Bavarian Bier Cafes, it has a huge selections of imported German Biers to top it off and cement this place as the ultimate comfort food destination.
