Average fish and chip shop. They do not do EFTPOS only cash. Plenty of meal packages to choose from and average prices. Burgers are a little bare and the chips are nice.

So I was over on this side of town and in need of lunch. Not after anything fancy, just something hot to take back to my brother’s on a chilly day.
Nothing fancy here, this is your typical old school takeaway. I went for the burger with the lot (is there any other kind to get?), and a rather good deal that got you chips and a can of drink for $ 9.70. Bargain!
Well, as far as hamburgers with the lot go, it was pretty good. The chips were perfect takeaway chips. And the price was right.
If you’re over fancy, overpriced burgers that you can’t actually fit in your mouth, get into George’s for some old school burger love.

Tradies and high schoolers love this place. In the late afternoon, you’ll see swathes of school uniforms lumbering up towards George’s. They’ll have to line up after the fluro shirted council workers who are taking a load off with an ice coffee and a burger after a long hard day of work in the sun.
George’s is a humble looking establishment. It’s nothing flash on the inside, it’s merely functional, good for pumping out the burgers. They do classic snackbar food here– fish and chips, burgers, hot sandwiches, all of that sort of business. It’s dirt cheap, salty and fatty. It’s everything you want from a snackbar.
Go on, allow yourself to have a cheap, greasy treat. Everyone loves sitting down to some fat bombs (chips) and a can of Sars from time to time. Work up a sweat, and then go on and get down to George’s. They’ll sort you out.
