Went for dinner a few weeks ago for a mid week meal. The restaurant was half full but we didn’t have to wait long to be served. We ordered the seafood platter for two and a ceasar salad. The platter was very generous and could probably serve three. It included mussels, fish, chips, squid, prawns and an oyster. All the seafood was cooked well. The salad was also delicious.

I came here for the first time today with a group of about 12 girls from work. The breakfast menu is pretty basic with nothing too exciting, just the usual eggs, bacon, mushrooms etc, however for the price the serving sizes are huge!($ 8.50 for a giant serving of bacon and scrambled eggs on sourdough toast.) The seating area is also huge and would be great for large groups. Although there were only a few tables filled for breakfast, somehow the lady in the kitchen still managed to get confused with our orders so I don’t know how they manage at full capacity! Even after the lovely and very friendly waiter came to the table to reconfirm our order twice, we still had wrong orders being bought out and so half the table had finished eating while the other half were still waiting. Although I understand there was a large group of us, there are tables in the restaurant which seat twice the amount of people so we weren’t super impressed with the service. Not the best place in Perth to go for breakfast, but still ok.

The $ 15 pizza and pasta night started last Wednesday at Conventry Seafood Bar and Grill. We decided to try it last night. With a booking for 7:30, the restaurant was ¼ full. There was about 6 — 7 choices for pizza and pasta all at $ 15. The three of us ordered a pasta each and two pizzas. Naturally all with seafood because seafood is in the name. Food came out relatively quickly. The pasta(not house made) was delicious; the seafood was perfectly cooked. We demolished the pasta in silence. The pizza base was slightly burnt at the bottom and a tad bit dry. However the toppings and sauce were tied in so well and the perfectly cooked seafood again saved the pizza base’s day!(Base wasn’t the best but it wasn’t that terrible). We were eyeing off other table’s desserts($ 9 for sticky date, apple crumble and custard, cheesecake — all reasonable portions) while we were in a food coma. Would definitely go back for pasta and dessert on a Wednesday. Service was amazing. Friendly staff. Each of us were given plates within seconds of finishing our pasta for our pizza! Based on pizza and pasta night — 4.5÷5 for service 3⁄5 for food. The breakfast and 30 day aged beef also is also something I want to go back for! $ 7 beers and $ 10 lychee caprioskas. Quite a nice wine selection too. Deals almost every day of the week like a tuna mornay Tuesdays for $ 14.95. I’ve never been to Conventry Markets before and definitely will be back to try the other places along that strip.

My partners Dad wanted fish, and all I wanted was to sea food on my plate because I was starving, this place fit the bill perfectly! And, the bill even fit into a reasonable budget. The Snapper I got for dinner was delicious, and the side salad with the seasame dressing on it was a fresh and unique compliment. One with our group had a chicken parmy, and it looked incredible. A hulking piece of chicken that was nicely crisped before it was smothered in sauce and cheese. My partners steak was pretty gristly but I think he tempted fate when we ordered it and said«you can’t go wrong with a steak». The service was so good I felt like I was back in North America, and the desserts were beautifully plated. The ice cream sundaes come out with a serious side of hot fudge for pouring, and the crumble comes out in what looks like more of an entire pie format then a one portion serve. Coronas and premium import beers were only $ 5! And that was all night, not just at happy hour. Huge windows give you a good view of the bustle out the front, and a modern recently decorated interior goes far to bring a level of class and comfort to this place. We will be back.

I’ve been wanting to check out the restaurants at the new Coventry’s and I’ve FINALLY gotten around to doing that — starting with the Seafood Bar and Grill. The place looks really fancy and the service was great. The selection of food — my dinner companion and I decided on seafood so that’s what we were definitely getting. I ordered the Baramundi with a side of onion fries(I couldn’t help myself). The food was great. The onion fries were GREAT. The prices, personally, I thought were a little bit steep. This by no means is a negative reflection on the place and I’d definitely recommend it to people — but with the waiver that prices are a little on the expensive side for my liking.

The Coventry Village is a welcome addition to Morley and is full of some really great little shops and restaurants. My boyfriend and I decided to check out Coventry Seafood last night. It wasn’t the most amazing meal I have ever had but it wasn’t the worst either. Pros: –The service is excellent! Everyone was so friendly and really attentive which is a welcome to change to a lot of the restaurants I have visited in Perth! –It is very clean. Having just been renovated everything is polished and presents well. –The servings are massive. The prices are a bit on the high side so it’s nice to get a good amount of food. Cons: –Some of the food could have been of a higher quality considering the price. –They still haven’t received their liquor licence. BYO is welcome until they get it though for a corkage of $ 5 Mark and I ordered the seafood platter for 2 at $ 85. The platter changes depending on what fresh seafood is available we had oysters, beer battered spanish makeral, panfried snapper, tempura whiting, greek octopus, garlic shrimp, and french fries. The platter also includes a vinegar dip and tarter sauce. My main issue is that everything other than the oysters and garlic shrimp had been fried, it made for a really, really heavy meal. Saying that though the beer batter was lovely! The garlic shrimp were cooked perfectly but were a low quality shrimp considering the price. Also the fries were not hand cut, it really bugs me when I am paying more than $ 40 a person and the restaurant cant even cut their own potatoes! As I said before the service was really great and the venue is massive but for the quality and prices I think that I will give Coventry a pass next time I am craving seafood.
