I have been coming to saffrons for nearly 4 years as I live locally I’m so greatful we have this wonderfully run Persian eatery just around the corner from me. The portions are so generous and they have belly dancers here on Friday nights. I would highly recommend the lamb shank with dill and broad bean rice — so delicious. I’m disappointed to see those bad reviews as I have only had pleasant wait staff, usually the owners and find the meals are out so prompt. It’s BYO as well always a bonus. I find the prices are very fair for the quality and size — don’t be pit off by the other negative reviews

Saw mixed reviews for this restaurant on UrbanSpoon but went along at the recommendation of a friend. Place was nearly empty — we were a party of four. Service was rubbish — took an hour to get starters and drinks were forgotten. The food was a mixed bag — the starters weren’t to my taste, but the mains were delicious. It’s a shame the service was so bad and the price so high, because the place was clean and (some of) the food was great. I won’t be going back.
