If you’re in the Electoral Division for Griffith, you’ve got one hell of a Federal Member for Parliament. That’s right, it’s none other than our former Prime Minister the Honourable Kevin Rudd!
Now that Rudd has returned to Brisbane, you can find him at his Morningside office during the week. How lovely. (It almost inspires me to make up some project, or complaint just so I can go and hang with him).
I personally quite like having Kev back in town. When Brisbane flooded, Kev donned his gumboots and got down and dirty with the rest of us and helped his community out, and not because the cameras were on him. People can think what they want, but I reckon he’s a good bloke. The kind of man who appreciates a strong cup of tea and some good barbecued snags.
So, if you come under the electorate of Griffith, and you need some advice from your MP, be happy that chances are you’ll meet with a national celebrity. Wowee. Who would of thought that could happen in Morningside?
