I think that this is the best coffee that you will get in the main Mosman area. This little café is off the Military Road, is worth coming to the visit if you are in the area. There are a few cafes in the ares, but trust me Source stands above the rest. First, their coffee is good — but not great. Saying that, I haven’t had great coffee in the area. So maybe when review will change if I have better coffee. So if you are in the area come here, but I wouldn’t go out of the way to come here. The reason I gave this place 4 stars is not for the coffee, but for the food. The food here is really good. So if you are hungry and want good café food then come here. I have only come here for breakfast so can only comment on that. The eggs benny here is awesome, but if you want something different order the eggs dukkah. I know that it is small, but the plates here look cool, but are hard to eat off — especially, using a knife and fork. Small I know, but try them and you’ll agree with me. As I stated before, this place is small, so you might not find a place to eat, or might share a table with other people. So if you are in the area, come along.

Heard some great things about thisplace so had to check it out when I was in the area recently Our visit was short and sharp. I ordered a DblX + a latte whilst my friend had a cap all to take away. The guys(and girls) behind the bar are clearly knowledgeable and know how to knock out a quality coffee. The latte was one of the better I’ve had. Nice temp, enough punch about the coffee whilst being very smooth. The DblX was a tad disapointing however this is probably due to the lighter roasting(or so I assume) of their beans and the fact it was run a tad longer than I woudl have liked Overall a great place o have coffee if you’re in the area

Just stopped in for a quick breakfast but we really were more interested in the coffee. I thought the coffee was very good but not incredible — wife gave it an «okay». Really liked the breakfast — good options. Bircher muesli was very small but tasty, very nice mixed berry muffin(but very small as well). My wife had an egg dish that was really, really nice. Service was great as well — very friendly and quick. Will definitely go back when in the area.

This café has an amazing rep. It has been mention in newspaper reviews, and word of mouth. When I asked my twitter followers where I should go in the area, this place came up… and so… I went. Happy with parking, I walked in and(expecting something special) ordered a dbl mac. Meh… really… it was nothing special. Check out the pic of it on Unilocal. So much froth you’d think it was a mini-cap of some sort. From my survey of 1 person who has been there 1 time(who admittedly is a little picky when it comes to good coffee), this place did not cut the mustard. Places like this however do not get a rep(from people I respect) as good as this one for no reason, so it might be worth a revisit. Next time I go my expectations will be much lower. So where would the barista to one of your favorite cafés get a cup of coffee if he wasn’t working and in the North Shore? Well, as it turned out, The Source. This place is no-nonsense. It has a comfortable atmosphere, friendly service, ample parking and great coffee. We came to this café because of its reputation and wanted to try the infamous«Clover». We were not disappointed. The coffee was solid and we were able to enjoy our weekend paper uninterrupted. During our visit we saw Shoji from Single Origin Roasters(in Surry Hills) having his Sunday coffee and a chat. They source their own coffee, roast their beans in house and the fancy Synesso machine and the Clover make for an excellent coffee experience. Overall we give it two thumbs up and will definitely be back for more.
