Fish and Chip shops seem to be a dwindling part of our society, many preferring the fast food option or choosing something healthy to eat. Unless of course you live next to the beach, in which case they’re everywhere. Unfortunately not to many beaches are in Holland Park, but eating at Pipis Seafood makes me feel like I’m right there dangling my feet in the water and trying to scare away seagulls. They’re fish is always juicy and comes in huge portions, and the chips, crisp and doused in chicken salt. There’s not much more to you could want from a humble serve of fish and chips. The best part is I’ve yet to experience a bad meal from Pipis; they always hit that high standard. Not once has the fish been bland and even the salads are crisp and fresh. Not exactly what I’ve come to expect from most fish and chip shops. As an added bonus, the owners of Pipis often add a few free chips, potato scallops or other entrees to the order. Wonderful.
