Divido is a lovely restaurant in My Hawthorn and is well worth a visit. They have a few specials during the week and on our visit we had a three course dinner(any dish from the menu) with a glass of wine or bubbles for $ 69. On this outing I had quail, fish and a delicious chocolate pudding type dessert. They have so much lovely food to choose from and it is a lovely setting. On a previous visit we shared the lamb shoulder and I still think about this dish!

Below average… out of 3 of the mains courses and only 7.30pm on a Friday night… makeup own rules on entertainment card… hit and miss service… overpriced. Wont be back as too many better options

Had a meal here a few nights ago. Throughly enjoyed the $ 59.503 course special. All courses were excellent, especially the Duck main. Service was a bit slow, but very hospitable. Will definitely return!

Perhaps the most underrated restaurant in Perth. I’ve only eaten there on a Monday and Tuesday when they have the most amazing deal — 3 courses and a glass of sparkling $ 69. Amazing value. The food was all fantastic. For a $ 10 surcharge, you can have the lamb between two people(ordinarily $ 85) and it is life changing. So tender. So much meat. Amazing. Worthwhile checking out on a Monday and Tuesday for some high quality service and food for $ 69 a head!

excellent food, drink, and service. I’m baffled by other reviewers saying the venue needs updating… if you want noisy/echo ultra-modern, go elsewhere… this place is small, cozy, with dark wood and leather… I really enjoyed the atmosphere.

I have to concur with Laura’s recent review, although I am not hitting as high as three stars. My review is based on a total of three visits to Divido that I have experienced. The first, albeit some years ago, was wonderful. Terrific, attentive service and a wonderful selection of high end, well-presented and delightful food with the Sommelier giving spot on advice for the appropriate matching wines. The second time, in a party of three, the service was sloppy, almost back-packer haphazard and the food was completely underwhelming and over-priced. As a consequence of that visit, I was happy to leave well enough alone and not go back. Fast forward to a recent UYE here, where Divido was selected as the venue. I kept my opinions and experience to myself, prepared with an open mind to give it another crack. Besides, ultimately the get together was about the company, so the venue was just for convenience to all. As Laura stated, the décor does not appear to have been altered for some years and is most definitely showing the strains of wear and tear. The bench seating is tatty vinyl and if you’ve read my previous reviews, you know vinyl and I have an hate-hate relationship. Who amongst us does not get all hot and sweaty sitting on a vinyl bench seat with an high backrest of the same unforgiving material? It’s bloody horrendous. Thankfully, the saving grace was the fact our long table had chairs on the opposite side, so I avoided having to sit in a puddle of sweat to endure the ordinary meal. I ordered the«large serve» handmade spaghetti, served with prawns, chilli, tomato and wine sauce. I have or say, the serve was definitely filling, as a plate of carbs can be, but I found the disparity between quantity on the plate versus the $ 38 I was expected to pay for it alarming. The dish also lacked punchy flavour that I would be expecting from a restaurant that has a reputation for higher end quality. Sadly, it is my humble opinion that this reputation is outdated. I was also not fond of the sneaky manner in which our glasses of wine and bottled water were continually filled, meaning our water bill alone came to around $ 50. Sitting at one end of a long table, I was not privvy to who ordered the water, and it would have been a bit gauche to make a point of it being continually refilled, inflating the bill. It would have been nice if the waitress(who was really lovely, attentive and efficient, by the way) would have checked with the initial orderer before she cracked another bottle top. I did hear her do that for the wine, meaning it was capped at several bottles. Give her due credit for that. I also noted that the front of house chap personally farewelled all the other guests by opening the door for them and wishing them well, but studiously ignored us, remaining firmly behind the counter, when we left. Look, it’s not a big deal, but after and $ 850 bill, you could open the door for us too, buddy. Overall, if I look at just the dining experience, I’d merely yawn. The fact that I spent time with some of my favourite people made the evening. Divido did not make the cut.

I was a bit disappointed with this restaurant, especially after reading all the Unilocaler’s rave reviews. The interior could do with an update and I found the food to be overpriced. I ordered the main size spaghetti and king prawn dish. The prawns were incredibly flavorful, but the dish was just so tiny for a main costing $ 38. You’d have to order bread, an entrée, a main and dessert to even feel slightly full looking at the sizes of all the other dishes on the table. The service was great in terms of the dishes all coming out correctly and at the same time. However the gentleman at the bar wasn’t very friendly at all when I asked for the bill, and I felt the service and general vibe of the venue lacked an overall warmth too.

Divido, hell ya. This is one of the restaurant that’s in my food hunt list in Australia. Thanks to a local friend for the recommendation. What can i say? So good, excellent! Came here on weekday with a table reservation(heard is going to be full house if u don’t reserve). We came here striaght after work, which is relatively early(6pm). Since we have some time, we decided to chill and take it a little slow. We start off with a glass of champaign of the day, and then made our order. We ordered a Chestnut soup, very smooth texture, similar taste to pumpkin soup. Slightly towards the sweet side. The Tiger Prawn starter was very fresh. We had a crab meat pasta and a roasted half duck. The Roasted duck was superb! Light touch of the purée and the duck was jus nicely cook. Crispy on the outer and tender in the inside. The slightly sweet and sour sos made the whole dish balance and awesome!!! Strongly recommend this if is your first try. The handmade pasta was good too, very flavorful. Food was very different from other Italian food that i’ve tried before. Good service, and nice ambient. Very good for my first experience.

This gorgeous little Italian restaurant lives up to it’s hype. Despite my other half being sick with flu and I was just recovering from a gluten poisoning the day before, we still managed to have a fabulous evening. The service, the food and the atmosphere all hit the spot. I have some drool worthy pics and a full review on my blog Chompchomp…

This is modern Italian food at its best. You will not find boring spaghetti dishes here. All the dishes are delicious and attention has been given to their presentation, something a lot of Perth restaurants seem to forget about. The décor is modern and stylish. The staff knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. They were great at recommending a wine that matched our meals. It didn’t get 5 stars from me, as the portions are quite small for their prices.

Divido does modern italian and european food with a big focus on flavour. I have only ever seen the zuchini flowers on cooking shows. So I jumped at the chance to try them, because I can barely boil water, nevermind something so complicated. They were a piece of art to look at and to eat. The rest of the food was just as good. My main meal of the wood roasted duck was delicious. It didn’t sound like something I would normally like, so I gave it a go and very glad that I did. The staff were bubbly and chatty type, I prefer people to have personality and their own style.

It’s such a novelty to see and taste good Italian food that has a postmodern touch to it, fusing the classic with new ideas. Divido does just that, and outside of Mum’s cooking, I’d say this is pretty special. I mean, whoever thought of eggplant caviar is an innovative master chef in my books. The stuffed baked zucchini flowers, too, are a tricky dish that no-one ever tries to make at home, so I like to make the most of ordering them when I’m here. The chef fills them with risotto and serves them with a light yoghurt, adding a classic Medittarean touch. While some of the mains on the menu are very rich, including Grilled Quail served with an Almond Picada Sauce and Radiccio, and Grilled Lamb with Peperonata(charred peppers) and Eggplant Caviar — both on the degustation menu, there are items on the a la carte menu that don’t go too far down the road of richness: a simple Spinach and Ricotta Gnocchi, for example, or for seafood lovers, Marinated Octopus served with Chickpeas. While the food here is very colourful, the establishment itself is pared back in design and far from stuffy. I’ll be back here again, for sure.

I first tried Divido about five years ago and have been itching to get back since. I got my wish last month when my girlfriends and I made Divido our Christmas time venue of choice. The food was as special as I remember; Italian cooking, with a very novel take on presentation and flavour. For entrée most of us had the stuffed grilled zucchini flowers which were Picasso’s on a plate. For mains you’d be wise to go with one of their homemade pasta dishes; it’s the real deal. Desserts are to die for too; please if it is on the menu, try the Chocolate Nemesis cake, almost impossible to describe, it’s a mildly rich cold dessert that’s like a hybrid of chocolate mousse, jelly and mud-cake — Orgasmic! The service here is second to none; the Maître d’ is professional and approachable and not to mention tremendously clued-up on the menus offerings. The interior, dressed in tones of brown is stylish and discreetly up market. It’s comfortable and classy without screaming it. It’s fairly hard to fault this place, Divido is contemporary Italian dining at its best.

The chef here plays a major part in the success and popularity of this restaurant. The menu reads like a delicate combination of modernity and traditional and also can cause a lot of confusion if you are not a good decision maker. They do great little promotions such as Monday Champagne nights whcih include 3 course dinner with champagne for $ 65. Try their $ 90 degustation menu, its quite fancy!

Divido is fairly new to the Perth culinary scene, but it has made it’s mark in a very short amount of time! The food is modern Italian, which is the best kind of food if you ask me! They’re also well versed in wine, with an extensive and all-encompassing wine list. I’m no fan of gnocchi, but when I saw them on the menu combined with my favourite cheese(the supremely underestimated ricotta) I just HAD to have it. And it was the most delicious gnocchi I’ve ever had. Highly recommended…
