This is one of my favourite stores on Beaufort street. You walk in and it’s just full of retro treasures. Then you realise there is another room and then another huge room! Lots of well priced and quality retro items. The owners are really friendly too. Its well worth dropping in any time you’re in the area to see what new retro gold awaits.

Shout out to Dan C for letting me know about this gem. I always drive past this little cluster of retro and antique stores usually thinking they didn’t have much to offer or are way too expensive. My friend Dan let me know that Rockafella’s Retro had just been bought by someone who had given the store a makeover in terms of the type of stock sold and also had reduced the prices so they are more affordable for the average Joe, like myself. Driving past the other day I thought I must stop in. Dan was also right about the new owner — just lovely. We bought a set of four 1960s chairs to finish off our dining table setting. I also scoped out a dresser, which I later went back and bought, great value at $ 130! If you like 1950−1960s home wares you are sure to buy a few things at this store. Colured glass ornaments and tin and plastic flour canisters, tables, chairs, sofas. There is a heap of cool stuff! Nice to know Perth has a decent retro home wares shop, when they are so prevalent in most other cities in the western world. You should go check it out. Only downside — it’s cash only.
