Sometimes when I’m having an early takeaway pizza dinner (as in, picking up my pizza before 6pm) and I feel like treating myself to a nice and tasty dessert, I’ll pop my head in here and see if there are any chocolate eclairs or vanilla slices. It’s pretty convenient, as I buy more and more of my takeaway pizzas from the place next door.
It’s a neat little bakery. There’s somewhere to sit and have a coffee, which is good, as they do make a nice cappuccino, and there’s plenty of parking around, so it’s a good place to stop for a bite to eat if you’re spending the day in the car. I like this place. It isn’t my favourite, but it’s up there.

Tally Ho Bakery, on Blackburn Rd has all your usual bakery munchies. There is plenty about this place to love, from their beautiful vanilla slices with their crisp pastry, to their meat or vegetarian pasties. Everything has that fresh, just baked taste and smell. The bread is also a winner, and as an ex baker, I’m pretty picky when it comes to bread. There is usually quite a crowd in this place between 12 – 2, I usually find it best to go before ten, so I can have my pick of the baked goods (yes I’m one of those people that point to the slice in the front row closest to the window, two from the left and says «That one»).
