I have been lucky enough to never require the services of SJOG but I have spent a fair amount of time here for one reason or another — the most recent of which was to welcome my beautiful baby niece into the world. The entire place is hygienic and clean(you’d expect so as it’s a hospital), the rooms are modern and have enough room to be practical, there are great facilities, a chapel, support services, modern technology and tv’s in all the rooms I’ve seen. What stands out to me about SJOG is the staff — from the doctors to the nurses to the admin staff, everyone is just so lovely and professional. They make you feel as comfortable as possible while also being quite confident in their roles. I have seen several staff go out of their way to accommodate the patients needs and wishes — it’s really great to see, and much appreciated!

This hospital is nice. Like, really nice. It’s also pretty expensive, to the point that if I woke up here after a car crash, once I realised where I was I would be freaking out about the bill. That being said, this is a private hospital and it’s very unlikely I would end up here. It’s a personal choice thing. The hospital itself has very friendly, professional staff. The private rooms are big enough to avoid claustrophobia and nobody I know has had a particularly bad experience here, which is more than I can say for some of our public hospitals.

St John of God Hospital Murdoch is very modern health care facility that is still in construction to this day. The past few months my mother has been fairly ill with bowel cancer, and the team at St John of God have been incredibly supportive, professional and have done their utmost to ensure my mother receives adequate treatment as fast as possible. Both times she’s been here in the past 2 months(the first time for a colonoscopy, the 2nd for nausea from chemo), her stays have been brief, yet intensive. My family have been very impressed with their oncology department in particular. Not only did my mother start treatment in a timely manner, the information they provided us about nutrition provided some much needed clarity. If you’re after quality health care, I definitely recommend this hospital for their high level of service to the community.
