History

Established in 2003.

Eyes@Narangba was started by Ross & Lisa Bakker who have been locals for the last decade. With over 40 years of Optical Experience between them — Ross as an Optical Mechanic/​Dispensor and Lisa as an Optometrist. Eyes@Narangba has steadily grown into a family practice with 2 full time Optometrists and 8 support staff.

It is our passion to not just ‘go the extra mile’ with you, but also to serve you great coffee at the end of that mile. We strive to look after your whole family, circle of friends, relatives and anyone else you are on talking terms with. Word of Mouth has been very good to us and we are extremely for our talkative patients — good on you!

As a small business we are aware that Corporate Giant Stores may seem to have more to offer — we exist to prove that concept wrong! Not much to say, I have had many jobs but have settled happily into Optics for the past 20 years. That is not to say that previous experience doesn’t help. I have spent 3 years as an apprentice chef, I have sold flowers, worked as a gardener, green-​grocer, and other jobs. Currently I am a registered Minister/​Pastor within the Churches of Christ (QLD) and am a dad to two gorgeous kids! My full time passion, is Optics — helping improve people’s eyesight is one of the most rewarding things I have done!
