Hello EB Games at midnight. You know you’re a bit different when you’re sitting in an empty shopping mall in the middle of nowhere with about 150 other people from 10pm waiting for the midnight release of Fallout 4. However, the EB Games store out here isn’t much different from the EB Games stores around the city. There’s games, consoles, PC and console gadgets. Lots of bobble heads and stuffed toys. And like most EB Games activities, very poorly managed. There was a lot of waiting around with numbers, and lines where you were meant to be in numerical order, but then it kind of failed after you got to person 43 — people came in and got numbers at 10pm but then disappeared by release. This confused the staff a wee bit. Apparently there was a draw, but we don’t know when or how you competed nor do we know who won and when it was drawn. Apart from that, once release happened things seemed to travel rather smoothly and quickly and we were home before 1am and from what I could gather there were many happy faces at pipboys and lunch boxes and other odds and ends.
