As the name suggests, Salty Rooster is a business focused on the creation of burgers which reflect the flavours of the world. Our tag line, «The world has never tasted so good» We offer takeaway burgers and other light meals and beverages in a fast turnaround format. Our products comprise seventeen different burger sensations, wraps, salads and kids meals, all combining tantalising flavours from a specific culture. FromBrazil to Jamaica, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Mexico, there’s something to tempt every palate. Once dominated by high fat hamburgers and fries, the takeaway food industry has undergone a health kick over the past five years.
History
Established in 2005.
— Salty Rooster opens its doors and commences trading on the 13th March 2005 A small and carefully crafted selection of six (6) burgers are offered. The Mexican, Brazilian, Narrabeen, Italian, Greek and the humble Aussie. Accompanying such innovation are your more traditional offerings such as pre made salads, baked dishes and roasts.
2006 Customers demand more and we respond by adding the following to our existing selection:
The USA, Manly, Hawaiian, Beef, Indian and Thai Rooster. Further, we begin complimenting our lunch menu with the timely addition of our Breakfast board. Consisting of a traditional bacon & egg roll, BLT and grilled chicken salad, salty fever quickly sets in and sales increase substantially.
2008 Salty Rooster Manly opens and quickly finds itself a little underprepared by the frantic consumer response.

In the evolving world of the fast food franchise, Salty Rooster has set a new benchmark for quality and freshness.
Jim Sagiotis, founder of Salty Rooster began his career in hospitality at the tender age of 15. Throughout the many challenging, fun and rewarding years that came and went, Jim contemplated embarking on a new adventure with solo aspirations and greater community interaction. The vision came to fruition with the creation of the first Salty Rooster store in Narrabeen in 2005.
Of course this was not the end, this was just the beginning with the vision to create a Salty Rooster Revolution.
With passion the primary ingredient, a strong vision to have every individual worldwide experiencing the «Salty Effect» the second Salty Rooster store opened in Manly in 2008.
