This review can only speak to Holistic’s Osteo services and it’s hard to extol how much they’ve helped me without it sounding like an evangelical infomercial. That said, I made my first appointment with the Osteo here out of sheer desperation. Having a severe lower back issue I’d tried massage, acupuncture, Bowen therapy — you get the drift. Everything would alleviate the situation for a few hours or a few days at the most. My first appointment was the standard initial consult and relaying what led to the chronic pain I dealt with. And that’s where it changed from other treatments I’ve sought. From that first appointment I felt a noticeable difference in my pain levels and overall flexibility. While my treatment is ongoing it’s personally amazing the difference 4 consults have made. I cannot remember the last time I felt this«pain-free» without an anti-inflammatory tablet. Of course, everyone’s experiences are different but for me this has been a sweet relief. Dr Cahill is relaxed and up front. If you’re a sufferer of chronic pain, headaches or other pain within the body I’d encourage you to at least visit these guys once!

I come here when I am in need of a massage and I have never had the same masuesse twice. This is kind of disappointing as I prefer to build a rapport with one. The massuese that I had — while very nice — talked too much throughout my treatment. Sorry, but when I get a massage, I like silence. I have yet to find my perfect massage spot so, until I do, I guess I will keep hunting!

My husband purchased a massage for me as a gift. I liked the facility, staff and set up of the business. Even though I was told it was meant to be deep tissue massage, I had too far from it. Based on my experience, I would clasify it as relaxing type. I enjoyed it but knew I would not go back. What the disappointment afterwards though!!! Next day I had a light pain in area of my right shoulder blade that I did not pay attention to until it lasted one week… and the pain was becoming worse. I ended up with seeing physiotherapist, GP on numerous occasions, get X-ray and ultrasound done. That was not all though! I asked for a proper receipt to be able to claim cost through my private health fund. A young therapist who treated me was not registered provider as a result I was unable to get any refund processed. This is very unprofessional as my husband had mentioned prior making a payment that I might have liked to ask after proper receipt for claim. I personally am not going there and would not even recommend it!

To be honest I didn’t think there would be much difference between Holistic Health and the many other beauty salons and day spas I have been to. In saying this, my experiences there have been good, and the staff have always been helpful. The usual services are on offer such as massages, facials and waxing, as well as some things that other salons don’t do(colonic irrigation for example… if that happens to be your thing). I was actually very suprised that Holistic Health wasn’t more expensive, seeing as it is located in the James Street precinct which is often overpriced given its clientele. The facilities were clean and spacious so there’s no feeling of «something could very well go wrong here». Overall I was happy with the service provided and I would definitely go back.
