Get thee to a changing room! The three slightly bored looking shop assistants here were very friendly and helpful and asked me nice questions about the homewares I’d purchased that day. I’m glad the previous reviewers listed the brands already because I’m brand name challenged.
The changing area up the back is on a lovely elevated platform with gorgeous down lighting and mirrors, and the shop itself is kitted in white and gold with luxe chandeliers. I so so wanted to try some things on and I found cutie cute shorts in the $ 40 rack, but alas I had no dosh and had to exit post haste. But I shall return! (Pumps fist in air).

I live and breathe Tu Yu. Correction. When I have worked enough shifts in a week, I live and breathe Tu Yu.
I have found almost all my birthday dresses (18 and onwards) here. My favourite brands here include Ladakh, Cameo, Tigerlily, and the rare Living Doll.
Walking into Tu Yu North Adelaide, it somehow feels more sparkly than Rundle Street’s, probably because it is more spacious, the layouts are better and is it just me, because I feel like the mannequins are always dressed better at this store. They always manage to draw me into the illusion that I would look exactly like them if I were to buy that $ 200 dress.
Not all things at Tu Yu are out of budget though. I’ve found bargains here too, at least compared to the median price here I’d call them bargains.
This store is perfect if you’re looking to raid chic, trendy, A-​list styles for your wardrobe.

Quite possibly one of my favourite stores, and this North Adelaide boutique is much larger than its Rundle Street sister.
Tu Yu is also home to some great little (and not so little) designers. Tigerlilly, Wish, Lot II, Ladakh, Shona Joy are just some of Tu Yu’s children.
If you are looking for the latest cute, girly and even sexy trends then find what you desire in this style refuge.
I especially like the North Adelaide store as I tend to find clothes here that are not stocked within their at times immensely busy city store. It also has a far more spacious disposition, making shopping so much more fun. Plus lets not forget to mention that there is a Cibo right next door… convenient.
