A pop up dessert store with the style of Jerusalem street food. Located under the M4 over pass on the corner of George St and Parramatta Rd, North Strathfield. It’s situated in a carpark area. I’ve been meaning to try this place for months and I finally got my chance on Sunday. We arrived about 8.45pm and there was a massive line, parking was terrible but we managed to find a spot. As we walked towards the long line I noticed it was moving somewhat quick, in total we waited approx 15 mins so not too bad. A knafeh is a sweet dessert with custard, semolina and syrup that can be added by yours truly to your liking. That’s what some told me but according to wiki it’s a cheesy pastry with sugar syrup. Hmm similar I guess?! You can also get pistachio ice cream on top or in a cup and they go well together like Bonnie and Clyde. There is heaps of makeshift tables made from crates as seats and timber on crates as tables. We ate ours in the car! Hot dam! This stuff is gooey, warm, with just enough sugar to make you close your eyes and savour every spoonful. I am ashamed to say I couldn’t finish mine as I ate too much food prior! Rookie mistake. This is definitely one to try!
