Nice venue, cute little courtyard with lots of adorable dogs! The line was extremely long to wait at the counter to order, and it moved very slowly. Staff were friendly however our meals came out lukewarm. When my friend took her food back it took a while for them to acknowledge her waiting patiently and they were apologetic however the baked bean flavours in the sauce weren’t great. My benedict was almost cold however both meals were presented beautifully. I thought it was a nice place but very over priced for counter service and lukewarm food but staff were lovely.

Had brunch here this morning and so much to choose from on the menu. After 20 minutes trying to decide between all the delicious sounding meals I went for the Green bowl(paleo friendly!). Everyone was happy with their meals and the food is pretty quick to come out. Couldn’t resist a takeaway coffee and gluten free brownie before leaving too

I had been invited to attend a business meeting here and arrived an hour early, I sat down and ordered a coffee, opened my laptop and sank into the busy environment around me. The smell of the food and the delicious looking Nutella filled donuts had me thinking I should stay here for lunch. so I did. There are so many healthy things here to choose, from fresh juices to wholesome looking salads but as a saw a burger go past my table there was no going back . I ordered the lamb and pineapple burger and it was Devine! It didn’t come with chips which I’m grateful for as the burger was quite large I don’t think I needed anything else! #watchingthewaistline one burger at a time, haha. I highly recommend trying this place out, I know I’ll be back… maybe next time for something a bit healthier.

We had breakfast here, breaky bowl was great! Full of greens, eggs were poached perfectly and the bacon was good quality. We looked around the room and other dishes looked very impressive! Coffee here wasn’t very good, friend didn’t drink her coffee because the soy milk separated and had a curdled consistency, we asked for another one but was told that the soy milk they use leaves that consistency and a new coffee would be the same. They also made a mistake with our coffee order and the waitress had attitude when we told them there about the mix up. The carrot cake was also very good. Overall I’d come back here again for the food.

Have wanted to try this place for ages! Its all healthy with vegan dishes but also meat options for the carnivores. I had the big buckwheat, banana and coconut pancake and it was amazing! So filling so I couldn’t eat it all, but highly recommended. I’d love to go back and try their muesli bowls!

I LOVED the hummingbird cake! It was very moist with pieces of coconut shreds mixed through. The icing layer had the perfect thickness, it made sure every bite you take from the cake was covered with it, but not smothered entirely in the sweetness. Being a greedy little bastard, I’ve also orderd the buckwheat and banana pancake. I was very surprised with the sheer thickness of the pancake, the chef cooked it up expertly, with slightly crunchy bits around the edges and soft and fluffy in the middle. The cashew cream tasted weird, but tolerable, the fruits were fresh and delicious, but I appreciated the rather large amount of syrup provided with the pancake!

The little bird café is a great place to chill back with a good book, a laptop for work or with friends on their large wooden tables and indulge in some cheap and cheerful cake and coffee. The cakes are decorated with flowers, come in a variety of interesting flavours(salted caramel, lemon yoghurt, mango cheesecake, kaffir lemon) and for 6.50 a slice you get a massive helping. Indulge in a cold smoothie or shake made out of clean ingredients. This fine day I had the Choco mint with dates, raw cacao, mint and almond milk. The kaffir lemon cake with its deliciously lemony topping and soft raspberry flavoured sponge cake was morsel after morsel heaven in my mouth. The Choco mint was refreshing on a hot hot day and not sweet at all. Just yum.

Delicious breakfast bowl — fresh, filled with greens. Had the added smoked salmon which made it even tastier. Peanut butter layer cake was a naughty but nice way to finish off the meal.

If you’re a visual kind of person, this is the place for you. You know how people talk about eating either their eyes before their mouth? Yup. Came here for brunch with a group of friends. Ordered the birches muesli and oh my goodness, it was as pretty as a picture. Parking is a pain because it’s the city afterall, but it’s a beautiful spot that surpassed all expectations!

A health nut’s delight. Whatever your niche — Vegetarian, Raw, Paleo — I’m sure you’ll find something here you will enjoy. They have an extensive Smoothie and Juice menu for those who like their liquid greens or liquid dessert. They also boast some of the best cakes from a café in Perth — while many cafes outsource, these guys bake with love in-house and even take orders for birthday and event cakes.

Everything here is just beautiful. From the flower topped cakes to the salmon bagels and the juices. It all looks fresh and healthy. As a group of 4, we rocked up at 9.30am and were able to find a seat straightaway. We headed up to the counter and ordered our food after a short wait. We started off with a salted caramel cookie which was delicious. We had coffees which were good and juices which were divine. I had a Dr Juice which was super tasty and very zingy. When our food arrive, we were all wowed. The eggs Benedict was a tower of toast, bacon and hollandaise. Wow! Next was my breaky bruschetta which absolutely looked every cent of the $ 18 I paid for it. My friend had the avo and lemon smash and it looked like half a garden was on her plate. Seriously got our monies worth. I loved my dish. Super salty and fresh. It was more than I could possibly eat. I will definitely be going back.

Kombucha brewed in house. Amazing food. Loved our side salad of mixed greens, poking, chicken, walnuts and coconut flakes. Also loved the eggs Benedict with bacon and spinach(we added mushrooms). Nice big portion. And of course the buckwheat pancakes with cashew cream, fruit and flowers. Smoothies sounded incredible.

I had a wonderful time here and have wanted to try it out for ages so I’m glad it didn’t disappoint! I love the fact that they take bookings which is rare in Perth these days, so it was perfect for my big group on a Saturday morning — they were really accommodating with an outside table also and quick and efficient service. I had a delicious Breakfast Bruschetta, the only disappointing thing was that it was made with an over powering goats cheese even though it said feta on the menu, but everything else on my plate was lovely. I also had a Sunrise fresh juice that was a good size for the price. My friends were all happy with their meals too which were also decent sizes and the healthy smoothies were delicious. I didn’t try the coffee though so I’ll definitely come back for that and the healthy yummy looking treats at the counter!

Just discovered this place by accident during a Sunday stroll. Fantastic atmosphere and delicious food. The Green Brekky was amazing and left me with a big smile. The cocoa kapow frappé also helped! Will definitely be back! Plenty of Gluten free options too for folk like us!

Beautiful café and fantastic place to chill out and eat amazing food! Paleo or gluten free? You ain’t go no problems here — masses to choose from! Recommend a café frappé on a hot spring/summers day and the raw lasagne is fresh and full of flavour. Something for everyone, veggie or carnivore, to savour over. A must visit for Perth!

Our drinks come out quite quickly which is a nice touch considering how busy they are. Its such a cute place with a kitschy recycled furniture feel and a shabby chic look — but the food is definitely modern and excitingly fresh. They have a really healthy feel to a lot of what they do. My drink is the Love Tonic freshly squeezed juice($ 7.00) which is up there in the price but is a decent size serving and tastes incredible. You can really get the pops of zingy raspberry in every sip. It was a really delicious drink and just what I needed to kickstart my day. My dining companion’s dish of the breakfast bruschetta comes out with requested gluten free toast and is topped with bacon, tomato, greens, avocado and goats curd. She also adds a poached egg on top because who doesn’t love a good poached egg with breakfast! There’s a drizzle of olive oil on the plate. The dish is simple but tasty, especially thanks to the punchy goats curd. She takes one bite of the gluten free toast and I can see she’s apprehensive if it as ordered. I have to admit, when I took a bite I was always doubtful — it was too yummy! But we checked with our waitress and she assured us that it was and that it was often queried by customers. Looks like we know where in Perth now has the best gluten free toast around. I did feel bad for her when she cut into her poached egg though as it had none of that runny yolky heaven we all look forward to — it was cooked through. What a shame! My dish was the birds nest($ 14.00) which came with poached eggs on a crispy potato nest and a parsley and celery foam. Now talk about aesthetically pleasing dishes! It was as pretty as a picture and so beautifully flavoured. The potato nest was crunchy and well seasoned, offering a nice crunchy texture in contrast to the foam underneath. I really enjoyed the vibrancy of the parsley and celery, and just how fresh it tasted. It lifted the dish and was very different to anything I’ve tried at other brekky spots. Thankfully my eggs were both cooked perfectly, with a river of yolk running out onto the other ingredients in my bowl. There is definitely something very satisfying about egg yolk — the richness and the fact that you don’t need anything else to have a tasty meal. It’s the ideal sauce for any breakfast in my opinion. What a fantastic brekky and one that lived up to all my hopes. I’m looking forward to returning soon to try more of their pretty little dishes and to sip on some of their fruit flavoured waters which they provide to customers free of charge. What a great idea!

Gorgeous little café in northbridge! I’m kicking myself I hadn’t been here sooner! Very attentive and bubbly service when I quizzed them on how long they had been around(2 years!) I picked up an iced latte to go and the service was quick and friendly an dI stopped to take a few pics and my favourite thing I noticed was their different flavours of infused water, such a simple touch but so unique and refreshing. I cannot wait to go back for fooood!

This café has everything — a beautiful little outdoor courtyard, or a big interior filled with couches & tables creating a very homely atmosphere. The coffee: amazing. I have had a few and they’ve never been disappointing! The food: the menu is not your stock standard café menu. A lot of creativity and love goes into this with an emphasis on healthly vegan meals(don’t worry there are plenty of meat dishes too!). I’ve been there for breakfast a few times — standouts were the oeuvres rancheros and the coconut pancakes — both very generous in size. The pancake was massive and beautifully presented with edible flowers. Stopping by for lunch one day I had the lamb burger — oh my goodness — so good and better than any burger bar I’d been to lately! Compliments to the chef! I love the free fresh water filled with fruits too — a lovely touch. One more thing… the Salted Caramel Cookie… GETONE!

A warm and friendly inviting spot that’s tucked away in Northbridge and in a way I wish would remain secret but it is too good not to rave about! Definitely one of my favourite cafes ever! They have introduced many new vegan and a vegetarian options in their new menu which is really awesome! Love the focus on health and raw foods. They have beautiful free vitamin water filled with delicious fruit and herbs for each table. The furniture is all mixed couches and chairs, sort of like a heartwarming Grandma’s house with a small alfresco outdoor area and a large indoor seating area. They have many simple, raw and decadent cakes on offer that change daily at the counter, topped with honeycomb, flowers, etc. A great spot to relax and catch up on some work or with friends. They have lively Saturday brunches with free music. The service is very friendly and attentive. With an extensive smoothie and juice menu to try!

Perched on the corner of Lake and Newcastle Street, the Little Bird is the latest café indulging Perth with healthy, homemade and organic food. But don’t be put off by the name, it’s not all seeds and nibbles made for the fussy and health conscious. The Little Bird offers filling and completely overindulgent cakes, protein balls, muffins and slices. I crumbled at the sight of a chocolate, raspberry and pistachio decorated with dried rose petals cake– so delicate and innocent, but yet utterly sinful. For healthier options there are salads, sandwiches, wraps and burgers to suit vegetarians, fussy eaters, gluten free and raw food junkies. Also on range are numerous fresh juices– my favourite is the nutty blueberry cream, smoothies(unfortunately for me all containing my nemesis: banana– but they are organic!) and single origin coffee. I’ll be back soon and I can’t wait to try the Zucchini & Sweet Corn Fritters with pecorino cheese, poached eggs & hollandaise sauce!
