This is the old restaurant. New restaurant is Sigiriya in the same location. This is where Sheni’s Curries from CBD moved to. Much bigger location with same old good taste!

Very nice banquet. A particular bouquet for the Dahl. Nicest I’ve ever tasted. I liked the food and service. I’d happily return.

I am always excited to see a Sri Lankan restaurant. In my view, a cuisine that is both packed full of flavour, rich and yet ever so refreshing is to be held in high esteem indeed. And Sigiri is a great Sri Lankan Restaurant. With a range of Sambols, Stir Fries, Curries and other delights all ranging between a remarkably cheap $ 3-$ 16.50 you absolutely can’t go wrong with heading to Sigiri for an evening out dining. Sigiri is also licenced and B.Y.O. for drinks and again very reasonably priced. My only criticism is that I don’t think the menu captures the freshness that I like so much in many Sri Lankan dishes. But all of their food is delicious. And while the venue may not be very flash and the service fairly lacking — the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Ideal for a casual meal or large groups.

Sigiri is a Sri Lankan restaurant that serves up food so delicious, it makes you wonder why there aren’t more Sri Lankan restaurants in Melbourne. On Friday and Saturday nights they do an all you can eat buffet that is awesome value for money at $ 27, and is far superior in quality to any buffet meal I’ve ever had. The food is a whole world of flavour, with spicy curries and sweet and sour chutneys and sambals, and all kinds of delicious breads(such as hoppas made from coconut milk). The menu has several vegan and gluten free options as well as a large variety of delicious vegetarian options. Sigiri is BYO and perfect for group gatherings.
