Pro-​tec cleans carpets with powerful diesel truck mounted carpet cleaning machinery which does not use the customer’s power or hot water. We use biodegradable shampoo and deodorant to pre-​spray the carpet and then extract all of the dirt, allergens, mud, oils, grease and shampoo.

Using our Ultrasonic blind cleaning method, we can remove the allergens from your household blinds and curtains without causing any damage or discolouration. This is great for allergy and asthma sufferers. Our cleaning processes also remove pollution and smoke that cause blinds to appear discoloured and age prematurely. Our blind technician can also repair and restore blinds and curtains including new blades, track repairs and restitching.

We steam clean mattresses removing dust, dirt, sweat and other allergens imbedded in the fibres of the mattress. Great for asthma sufferers.

Water damage from flood, leaks, burst pipes and overflows can all be attended to by Pro-​tec. Water on carpets, walls & contents can become a threat if mould, mildew or bacteria set in. Pro-​tec can extract the water from flooded carpets and treat them before this becomes a threat.

Carpet stretching is another service we provide. If your carpet becomes wrinkly or bubbly, we can re-​stretch it out to fit the room again leaving a flat surface.

Pro-​Tec carpet steam cleaning Brisbane is a locally owned and operated business established in 2000 by Stephen Ridge. Steve had a couple of businesses before he started Pro-​Tec cleaning and he has over 27 years professional cleaning experience. He takes pride in offering his customers the best value for money services, fully trained technicians and the most effective, up to date equipment. Steve will always go the extra mile to complete your job completely and to your satisfaction.

The company has diversified over the years from just performing carpet cleaning and now offers most home services including blind and soft curtain cleaning and repairs, window cleaning, upholstery cleaning including mattresses, tile and grout cleaning, external pathway clean-​ups, flood and fire restoration when disaster strikes and even those straight forward house or unit exit cleans.

Business Owner

Steve is like a lot of guys from the ‘old school’ who don’t get much out of technology or gizmos but who still believe in old fashioned good service and etiquette. Steve’s road into a personal business was a natural progression from working for other cleaning companies and knowing that he could always perform better, offer better service. When Pro-​tec was started, carpet cleaning was the mainstay of the company but as societies’ needs have changed, so have the services Pro-​tec provides. Steve has been a forward thinker in diversifying the company to provide a wide cross section of services so that the customers can almost have a one stop shop when they want some cleaning done in their homes.

Steve has three grown up children, several grandchildren and no pets. He has had a long and fruitful career and looks forward to several more years of good service before retirement.
