Northmead is not known for quality food stores, in fact you would think that this old suburb populated by elderly people and young families was not the best place to open a gourmet food store. But Fine Wine Fine Food Northmead were brave enough to try and they have been very successful. It is family owned and run and most of their customers are on a first name basis. The front of the shop is all food: jars of preserves and conserves, sauces and oils along with a fridge that sells English pork pies, exquisite dips and lovely cheeses. The rear of the shop has been laid out as a bottle store and has a good range of Australian Wines. It’s well worth a look if you’re in the area, you might be surprised at what you will find.
