Authentic Yiros/Kebab(not the manufactured meat like you will find in some establishments) Bread cooked fresh on premises. Fillings fresh and plentiful. Price is a little more than I would normally expect to pay but the taste and portion size is worth it. Recommend for a quick ‘healthy’ meal

yes we can rave about their Yiros but their other secret is their beautiful hot chips in chicken salt — real yum. Bring your overseas and interstate visitors here for a quick bite

Yanni’s Yiros is the only yiros shop on The Parade, and is therefore a great change from the countless Italian cafes lining the street. Their yiros’ aren’t the best I’ve ever had, but they certainly know how to make an excellent kebab. It’s the closest yiros shop to where I live, so Yanni’s is naturally the first choice that comes to mind when my stomach is calling for a strong garlic hit. In all the times I’ve frequented the shop, I’ve never been let down. Their lamb yiros’ are great-tasting and always filling, especially when topped off with garlic and chili sauce. The open yiros is perhaps my favourite dish that they have on offer though — it’s packed with all the extras that wouldn’t normally fit in yiros, so how can you wrong?

I love yiros, but Yanni’s doesn’t really do it for me. It wasn’t horrible, but it just wasn’t good. It was bland. I have only been in there once, my first experience convincing me to drive to another one of the many yiros places next time im craving one. I walked into the shop with pregnancy strength yiros cravings. I had been told it was supposed to be good, so over-looked the slightly seedy and unclean look of the shop. I ordered a falafel and waited a good 15 mins whilst the one lady attempted to make all of the orders alone. My yiros was a bit tasteless and there were bits of meat mixed in with my lettuce, putting me off even further. The hot chips were good, but my friends agreed with me that the yiros was nothing to rave about.

Everyone seems to love Yanni’s — but I just don’t get the all-out fan action this place inspires. Yes, the service is great, serving sizes are plentiful and the food is always fresh. This place emits one of the yummiest smells on the planet, wafting and enticing you inside as you walk by — but I’ve always been slightly disappointed by the yiros flavour itself. To me it’s pretty average. Fine. Nothing wrong with it. But nothing above and beyond. The only reason I come back is the chips: absolutely delicious, the best on the Parade!

Yanni’s! My favourite takeaway fast food before a movie at Hoyts. I stick to the lamb yiros, just because it is the yummiest out of a selection of other yummy things. I’ve heard the meat balls are really good, as well as the fish and chips. From the outside it just looks like an average deli. When you go in though, the smells and the turning meat will draw you in! I have to say though, I’ve been a little disappointed at their customer service lately. They used to be really friendly and happy, then all of a sudden they went sour and speak very bluntly. I don’t know what happened, but hey at least the food’s still good!

Definitely the best takeaway shop on The Parade, Yanni’s is a favourite of mine and many others. They offer a huge rane of yiros, as you’d expect, including; lamb, chicken, falafel, prawn, and even octopus! The yiros are huge, hearty, and delicious. Sometimes a bit sloppy, but I guess it is what it is. They offer a wide range of other takeaway standards, and also do a mean meatball!
