Nice basic pub grub, bit tired and old but nice spot and staff seemed friendly. Can see its a good local pub

The tavern is old, tired and they close early. The beer selection on tap is good and if you go on the right afternoons it is very well priced. But generally you start to be moved on by the staff from about 5:30 for a 6:00pm close. Despite the aged and rundown facilities, I would rate it higher if it even stayed open for two hours after my 5pm knock off. For 50 cents more a pint(excluding the afternoons without the cheap drinks) you can go down the road to the Botanica and experience a much nicer décor, attractive staff and a good meal until it is far past the time you promised to be home. Op’s Tavern really only works if you want one or two very quick beers after a hard day at work before you head home.

Can get quite busy for football games, huge screen and plenty of seats and with some couches. Lots of surrounding screens also showing other sports. Good range of beers and ciders. There is an outdoor area with great view over to the city… if it were not a little chilly to sit out side. Had the steak sandwich which was marvellous, not too big not too small Would go back again for great footy atmosphere

OPs is awesome. I got roped in to going there when I was given some free key ring attachments that allowed me to get a free beer with each one. So of course I went to use them on a Thursday. only to find out that they do half price cocktails on Thursdays as well. So then I called my girlfriend and she came along with some of her friends, we pulled some tables together and had such an awesome afternoon watching everyone drive home from work along Scarborough Beach Road, while we sipped on some exquisitely made cocktails. I didn’t realise until later that there was also $ 6 pints of EVERYTHING on tap. Geez, I can’t make this sound any better than it makes itself. Unless I succinctly stated; pub, café, barTAB.

Situated slap bang in the middle of Osborne Park, OPs is usually full of local workers taking advantage of a long lunch break, sipping a post work pint or having a casual business meeting. Pints are good and served with a smile. Trying to get a bigger clientele on the weekends, they have a superb $ 15 cheese burger and pint deal, complimented by awesome afternoon happy hours. The only issue with this place is the lack of public transport. Still though, make the trek to Glendalough station instead of hopping back in the car.
